    I can't think of a single big contract that's ever worked out. Sometimes re-signs with the same team before the guy is in his 30's, but generally big signings do not work. Can anyone think of a big one that worked or looks like it will work through the whole contract?

    I'll never understand the Maldonado thing. Dude is elite behind the plate but he's clearly out of gas. How do they not see that? Perez is solid behind the plate and has a decent bat. Graterol is a nice backup. Utilize these guys. If Maldy had 100 starts before this year then I'd understand upping him to 130+. But he has like 80!! Meanwhile guys like Napoli had to sit after night games so he could rest. It's inconsistent is what pisses me off

    Defense is just so important. It would have taken 2 above average plays to keep that inning at 0 runs, but the Angels best defenders couldn't do it. That Pujols double play really hurts now. He should be sitting once or twice a week
