    They've pointed out all the defensive and baserunning miscues we have had this year as well as the terrible pitchouts so far this game and keep showing Mike's rotund face every time they say it.

    What more does Arte need to see before he fires Mike? Worst defense in the AL, countless baserunning mistakes. We not only suck, but we suck at the aspects of the game that the Manager is suppose to to actually influence...being disciplined and focused.

    I can't believe Pujols isn't getting more shit for his awful start. .240 avg .740 ops. If we didn't have so many other problems this would be a glaring concern.

    That's a double chin. For a professional athlete, who relies on speed, this is fat and irresponsible. His play has slipped, it's not ridiculous to discuss whether or not him being a fatty fat fat is a factor.

    Dude is a 21 year old professional athlete with a double chin/triple chin when he smiles. He's not fat but he's certainly not in the best shape he could be in or even the same shape as last year. It's obvious by his regressed outfield defense.

    I can't say I disagree with anything you said. He's willing to spend is about all I can give him credit for. But since it seems he controls which big name players to spend on, he's going to look more and more like Jerry Jones without the Super Bowls.

    This is the one of the worst threads of the year, especially embarrassing from a mod on this site. The Rays have constantly overachieved for years and made the playoffs recently. Their payroll is miniscule compared to ours. The Angels have constantly underachieved for years and not made the playoffs recently. Our payroll is massive. There's a reason it's legit to call for one Manager to be fired and not the other.

    No. Rock bottom will be when Pujols and Hamilton are deep into their contracts and not producing, Scioscia is still here, and we're on multiple consecutive last place seasons despite and astronomical payroll.

    Trout is a shadow of what he was last year. If you looked a pic of him from the neck up you would think he was a guard for the Chargers.

    I remember when Howie came up I thought he was going to be thrilling to watch for years to come. He was lining doubles everywhere, I thought for sure he was the next Tony Gwynn. Fast forward to the present and he might as well be Marco Scutaro. He still hasn't learned to lay off the offspeed junk low and away. Minimal power and speed. He bores me now. Bring back Segura.
