    How about Mo Vaughn falling into the dugout on the first game of the season. At that time I thought the stadium was cursed but then 2002 came along.

    I think that Weaver will probably only miss 4 to 5 starts. This is a good test for this team to see how mentally tough it is much like in 2009 when Adenhart passed away.

    Well at least now we have an excuse if we don't play well. If we can just stay in it for the next month then we have a pretty good shot of taking this thing.

    I cannot believe that fans are panicking after 6 games of a 162 game schedule. We haven't even played one home game yet. We will probably have a 4-2 homestand leaving our record at 6-6 by this time next week.

    No one is happy about a 2-4 start but yes it could have been worse. Do people realize we have 156 games left and 16 with Houston. I wouldn't worry at this point. If it is July or August then I would start to worry.

    We are not the Padres because they would have gone 0-6 against those two teams.

    I am glad this road trip is over. I dreaded it since day one of Spring training.

    All Hamilton said was that Texas was a football state, something 90% of Americans already knew. Hamilton could have dissed the team and front office, called Nolan Ryan every name in the book something Lackey would have done.

    The A's are a good team but they can be beaten. Teams do better at home and I think that Hamilton and company will rake on this homestand.
