I would not trade Estevez. He has a very good contract. If someone can stick a gun to Arte's head and force him to trade Ohtani to the Dodgers for prospects, they may be able to add someone like Anderson, who was very successful as a Dodger and take back Syndergaard. Why? They are both being paid 13 mil, but for Anderson, it's for 3 years. They can stick Syndergaard in the bullpen and go to a 5 man rotation of Sandoval, Detmers, Barria, Canning, and Silseth and get them experience for next year.

I think his problem is psychological. I think his stuff is great. The problem started with his fantastic spring and the interview comment about what he wanted for this season. He said he wanted to win 20 games. HUGE MISTAKE!!! He should have said something like he wanted to pitch effectively and help his team get to the playoffs. His comments put a lot of unnecessary pressure on him. In the early season he was pulled from a couple of games with runners on base and the bullpen let all of them score, which elevated his ERA. With the bullpen issues the 1st month, I think he put even more pressure on himself to go deeper in games. He tries to nibble corners on 0-2 instead of trying to get the player to chase because he feels he needs to keep his pitch count down. Someone like Sandoval always shows his emotion when a play is not made behind him. Detmers, on the other hand, is rather stoic and shows no emotion, which means he could be internalizing it and it's effecting his performance. I think, once he can get his 1st win, he will relax and be OK. I have no knowledge of any of this. These are just my observations.

They need another relief pitcher who can gets outs...It doesn't have to be a lefty. DFA Loup and bring back Wantz.

You need to analyze his ABs..... I don't care what someone does with RISP up by 3 runs or down by 4. I want to know what he does with the game on the line, especially in the last 3 innings and this year Trout does not pass the smell test.

Walsh doesn't swing at ball 4 and Ward gets the right call from the ump at 3-2 and the game is tied and bases loaded with zero outs

I'm really surprised that they brought up Joyce rather than Yovan. Yovan has given up 1 ER in 19 innings and has no control issues. Joyce averages over 1 BB/HB per inning. I understand the need for a power arm, but they now have 3 guys in the bullpen in Joyce, Bachman, and Silseth who have major control issues.

This team is joke. I just don't care anymore. When we win it always a struggle. When we lose we sh!t the bed. Good teams like Texas and Houston don't do that.
