  1. Yep. I don't drink beer unless I'm at a ballgame or floating down the river, then it's all about lite beer. I'm a martini or bourbon/whisky guy depending on my mood. I like red wine with meals.
  2. Nice deep oppo double that was deep and a diving stop robbing a hit away from Chapman.
  3. 10 K's, 6 IP, 1 ER. Just 2 hits allowed. Hit 94-95 MPH several times, 96 MPH in his last frame in which he struck out the side. I guess this was his first start in which he's thrown his breaking ball and it looked good. Definitely made a difference as he was just FB-CH before that.
  4. Fack... but of course they score after having 2 on no outs and don't score.
  5. That contact play with our corn fed sloth at 3B is just dumb.
  6. Crazy! 40 bombs on the season combined between AAA and the Bigs.
  7. By Sam Dykstra / MiLB.com | August 28, 2017 12:45 PM ET Angels OF Michael Hermosillo, Triple-A Salt Lake: 3-for-4, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R, BB -- The No. 13 Angels prospect added another impressive chapter to his ascendant season Sunday with his first career two-homer game in an 8-1 win at Albuquerque. A 28th-round pick in 2013, Hermosillo put himself on the map by hitting .317/.402/.467 between Class A Burlington and Class A Advanced Inland Empire last year. He's been even better this campaign, climbing from the California to the Pacific Coast League and hitting .270/.372/.407 with career highs in homers (nine), doubles (24) and steals (32) over 112 games between Salt Lake, Double-A Mobile and Inland Empire. The 22-year-old outfielder has especially taken off at the Minors' highest level with a .310 average, .932 OPS, 11 extra-base hits and six steals in 22 games for the Bees. He's eligible for the Rule 5 Draft this offseason and should be an easy 40-man addition for Los Angeles before the mid-November deadline. Hermosillo doesn't quite have the ceiling of fellow Angels outfield prospects such as Jo Adell, Jahmai Jones, Jacob Pearson or Brandon Marsh, but he's the closest of that group to the Majors and has earned a look -- likely coming next spring. Click here to see Hermosillo's 2nd blast of the game. It was a no-doubter.
  8. I agree. Torii wouldn't have been signed for more than 2 years + an option, but he loved it here and was a spark in the clubhouse. His numbers weren't much different than good Calhoun either.
  9. Awesome! I'm already dreading season 8 being over even though it's most likely more than a year away. lol
  10. Can you get these Game of Thrones books for an e-Reader? I really need to spend the next year reading them because it seems the final season (8) may not be ready until late 2018 or even 2019.
  11. Yeah, those guys are making a fortune off writers having to pump out 25+ articles a month, while managing the website as well. All for pennies.
  12. Probably him sucking, getting injured and not being a team player. At least Pujols is a team guy who mentors the players and encourages them. I've heard nothing but bad things about the way Hamilton carried himself with the team.
  13. Interesting stuff that I'm sure @yk9001 and some others would be interested in. http://deadspin.com/how-sb-nation-profits-off-an-army-of-exploited-workers-1797653841 http://deadspin.com/sb-nation-bosses-current-and-former-workers-discuss-pa-1797868635
  14. Yeah, Maybin outside of one month has been below average and nothing close to what he did in Detroit as far as BA. That said, he has continued to walk and steal a bunhc more bases. I'm actually OK with the current Revere/Maybin LF platoon.
