  1. Sorry man. I'm a Denver sports fan that's not into basketball but I know what happened.. My family is all excited about the Nuggets game and I'm stewing about the Angels still.
  2. It's April 22nd and the summer is already freeing up. Fuck I'm already in August mode with this team.
  3. Haha whoops. I even typed his name into the search engine to make sure no one had posted about him for awhile before posting. Maybe Bryce fucking Teodosio threw it off
  4. I'm looking at the Salt Lake stats right now and it's pretty depressing outside of an undrafted outfield named Bryce Teodosio who's hitting .355. Anyone watched him play on the stream or otherwise? Would love this kid to get a shot if he keeps it up.
  5. We all get excited over a comeback win Wednesday night then they turn around and lose 3 straight. Win 1 lose 2 or 3 it's going to be all year. Just another garbage season.
  6. Absolutely. If the Angels are going to move forward they've got to start getting rid of dead weight that has contributed to their losing over the years. If I recall, Eppler got Sandoval as a small return for Martin Maldonado back in 2019. 5 years ago. Time to move on.
  7. Sandoval is basically CJ Wilson and Hector Santiago rolled up into one person for a half decade long nightmare.
  8. Bullshit call aside, I cannot express how fucking tired I am of Patrick Sandoval with this team. We've been at it since 2019 with this guy and it's the same shit every year. DFA this clown already.
  9. And who got it all started? Schanuel with that 1 out basehit. Good to see a good game from a lot of guys that have been struggling like him and Rendon. I will enjoy this one thoroughly tonight. What a bounceback!
  10. Whoo hoo what a way to rebound after a crusher last night and a devastating 2 out home run in the 8th! Wtg Halos!
  11. I hate the ghost runner so much that I hope they last forever just so it drives the data up MLBs ass.
  12. I'm exactly the same age as Nick was as he was born in August of 86 and I was born in September of 86 so this one always hits close to home for me. I remember being 22 as he was and being in disbelief his life was over already. Can't believe it's already been 15 years. Win one for Adenhart tonight Angels as he looks down from above!
  13. What a great night! Great outing by Anderson again, nice to see offense come from Rendon, Moniak and Ward. Great team win. LTBU!
  14. So now that Ohtani is gone the new narrative today from the baseball and sports world is "Mike Trout begged the FO to sign free agents and they lost 11-3" I mean forget that signing overpriced free agents is how the Angels got in a hole in the first place but oh well. This "Trout begged them to sign free agents and they didn't" is going to be the suckerpunch from the baseball world all year long. It never ends.
  15. I dunno but the Dodgers really should stop wasting this once in a generation talent. It's a disgrace for them to waste his services by losing to the Padres. Hey this is now kind of fun
  16. Anyone else watching MLB Network's 30 clubs Angels edition right now? I know hope springs eternal in spring training but really like Washington's energy when being interviewed. Also being interviewed have been Detmers, Schanuel and O'Hoppe. Chris Young (our former outfielder for a short time) is predicting 80 wins. I'm hoping for more than 80 obviously but kind of fun to watch and has me excited for the season.
  17. Ya that interview with Tatis was painful and awkward as the mic kept rattling the whole time and it was like a 45 minute interview. Just seems ESPN tries too hard with those as I remember they do those Sunday Night baseball too.
  18. Not Angels ST related but random ST venting post ahead. Tried to watch the Dodgers ST game working from home and just had to turn it off. ESPN is trying to make a record of how many times they say "Ohtani" as that appears to be all they care about with the Dodgers. He's not even playing and they've probably mentioned him hundreds of times through just the first 3 innings. The Dodgers will be absolutely unwatchable on any national broadcast this year. Not even the joy of the 1st ST game can make me overlook it, as I've been watching NCAA baseball since last Friday anyway.
  19. Small world! I'm off I-25 and 120th so a little ways away from Westminster High but that's where I reside. Yeah the Angels and Broncos to me are both eerie with how they are stuck in huge ruts with a playoff drought that's about equal in length for both teams. As bleak as things may seem for the Angels I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs before the Broncos do. But yes I'm thankful the Avs give us something to look forward to the last 7 or 8 years. They aren't perfect this year by any means but they should hopefully make a nice playoff run.
  20. That's what I keep hearing but as you can probably tell by my screen name, I'm bitter and didn't watch
  21. I was born in 1986 so my catalog of memories isn't as extensive as the rest of you fine folks but I really enjoyed the early 2000's. The Angels championship team of course speaks for itself and that's when I really got into baseball. I have very fond memories of 2014 as well between the Angels division title, flying out to Anaheim and getting to witness the 19 inning marathon game against the Red Sox in person. And yes I stayed for the whole thing and I'll definitely never forget it. I actually redid the scorebook for that game last night as something to do. That was a really wild game. 2014 was also the last season before Manfred took over so that was a good year for me as a baseball fan in that regard too. Not like Selig was a saint but with Selig at least I felt like the game year by year was going to be the same on the field. I'm worried what changes are ahead the rest of Manfred's tenure.
  22. I mean good for them. But here's the exact quote right here. Of course he was classy but it sounds like it was heavy on the team at times. I myself wasn't making the comparison I was just repeating what he said. Hopefully it takes the weight off them this year if it indeed was on the team.
