If I'm a JD Martinez, Justin Turner or Hoskins I'm sure money is a big part. JD and Turner basically playing year to year now. If you play for a contender you have better players around so you should put up better numbers. At start of season both Arizona and Baltimore would have been maybe fringe playoff teams. What I liked about both Arizona and Baltimore they stayed with same manager during some tough seasons. Every year teams surprise in baseball and maybe halos can be that team this year.

I think Perry is done adding to BP unless it is on minor league deal. One BP piece halos have and not mentioned much is Andrew Wantz he has been decent for halos. Starting pitcher I feel Perry adds 1 more mid-tier starter. Plesac have no idea if he will be used as RP or SP but I think he starts year in minors. Depth in INF maybe a Kike Hernandez or Tim Anderson and for OF I hope they stay away from Adam Duvall. Sign another lefty bat for OF. They do have Calhoun and Marisnick as depth OF piece. Curious to see what other additions Perry makes as we get closer to ST.

To me it's a piece that can work for 2025 and 2026. Maybe he is closer next year. Angels will have to take some risk. Something else I feel is up maybe some kind of trade. Angels do have some young promising relief pitchers in Joyce and Soriano, I do think Bachman starts year in minors to work on being a starter. This move gives Angels more options and maybe Carlos Estevez is traded. Interesting to see what happens next. I do feel the bullpen got a lot stronger with this signing.
