Reds do not want and he still wants to play. He had shoulder issues last 2 years. Good year in 2021 anything 5 mill and under I take a flyer on him.

He did look very good in those AB and not over matched. I think Votto could help on a cheap contract as lefty off bench or DH. Nothing more than 4 to 5 mill for Votto and save money for other needs.

Seems like most are just assuming Schanuel after little over 100 ab will be the 1B this year. He will only be 22 and maybe Minasian will not anoint him the starter.

Votto friends with former Angel pitcher when they both played for Reds. Maybe halos sign both of them.

We did lose his production and most likely not replace it. The BP on paper vastly improved will be big help. Health to Trout will be huge. Halos have not replaced what Ohtani did as a starter so far. Additions are still coming and will it make Angels a contender maybe. Adding 2 BP pieces has hope on the rise for Angel fans.

Votto would be millions cheaper so an easy DFA. Depends on what Minasian wants to spend what is left on budget given him. They need a starter plus middle INF depth.

I think a change of teams would do Votto good. Cheap LH bat mentor for young players. Someone to discuss value of AARP with Washington.

Soriano is in BP for me. So much depth and Kolarek, Plesac not even mentioned. If Cimber can return to his 2021 and 22 numbers could make this one of top BP in game. Joyce may even start year in minors. So many options with Minasian last 2 additions. Another starter on short deal that I Ilike is Clevenger.
