  1. if you say so. i still say ryu would be a better add than eitheith of Teheran and Bundy
  2. the whole idea is ridiculous, om just in shock Stradling is wearing my face as an avatar. youd think he could find a pretty girl or something
  3. SHOWS HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW i happen to be a met fan, but being from NY we arent as ignorant about other teams as some fans of other teams can be you expect calloway to make your staff better. we already learned that as a manager he was incompetent much like Eppler is proving to be the only reason I suggested Happ was because looking at your rotation I figured he could help and wouldnt cost you anything but money but youd rather have a staff with a guy who is coming off tommy John surgery and a bunch of #4 starters
  4. We don't know one way or the other, all we do know is according to WFAN several pitchers approached management asking that they get rid of him.
  5. Well there's one guy that Calloway can't ruin...at least according to WFAN in NY. They are saying that he totally screwed up Familia and Diaz. It's kinda funny, when he came from Cleveland he was " the pitching whisperer" a scant two years later the pitchers couldn't stand him, and went to management to get him gone.
  6. You forgot one..... the picture of the Angels players on the team plane going to the playoffs
  7. I never said that. I said to take him for free. As a salary dump. I have no doubt that if he starts this year that he'll do better than One of Bundy, Teheran, Sandoval, or Heaney. If you think that bunch is gonna get you to the playoffs you're delusional. the good thing about happ is he takes the ball every 5th day and he did it in Toronto too.
  8. The last 4 words of your post are gold. That they are Kirby Yates was Just Another Guy in NY. But in San Diego he became Superman
  9. Haven't we learned yet Blake Parker was good for a year. Hansel Robles was good for a year too. But having seen him since he came up with the mets, I don't trust him as far as I can piss.. I mean he's been great as an Angel, but I keep waiting for him to turn back into a pumpkin but hey maybe it's citi field. Edwin Diaz went from great in the A L west to a warm mess of goo in Citi field and Calloway for all his expertise, had nothing in his bag of tricks to help him. It's what got him fired
  10. Your point is well taken. I'm not really disputing that. I'm just saying that the overall table is crazy. how can the Angels with the gaping maw that we have in the rotation, be rated higher than the nationals. Pitching is still part of the game. Their top 4 is better than anyone we have except for obtain and coming off Tommy John surgery, he needs to be sheltered. they must be assuming things that haven't yet happened
  11. I can't believe that list. Look at the Nationals. With Scherzer Strasburg and Corbin. They just won the title too and they are projected to be worse than the angels. I get it Trout and Rendon..great players for certain. But be honest as things stand right now would you bet your house on that projection? and by right now I mean, no catcher and no real bullpen. Either it's a typo or somebody is smoking crack over at fangraphs
  12. Actually no the Wilpons have already admitted that Cohen's infusion of cash allowed them to sign wacha and porcello. So Cohen is already having an impact. He already was a minority shareholder. He's just buying a controlling interest. According to Forbes he's worth 13 billion and would be the richest individual owner in baseball. That and he's personal friends with syndergaard. So I doubt that's happening Apparently mr Moreno doesn't believe in paying for top line pitching since both the Dodgers and Yankees outbid them for Cole. Especially since eppler called him a priority.
  13. That may have been true under the Wilpons but recently billionaire Steve Cohen announced he's buying the Mets. And they also recently traded for C.F. Jake Marisnick. So it's likely that unless the Angels are offering Trout there's no traction there
  14. Unlike the angels though, the Yankees have real quality starters. So I doubt they'd be interested. But hey I was just passing the news along. Heck, not being from the West coast maybe Angels fans don't care about winning as much as we all do in the east. I don't know what to think after reading some of these posts. who in their right mind would trade Lindor AND Clevenger for Adell and Marsh. As it stands Mike Trout himself couldn't get Lindor and Clevenger. Cleveland is only trading them cause they are trying to save payroll and the Dodgers have better prospects to offer
  15. Over on SOSH the red Sox forum they were reporting that the globe had the Angels trading Fletcher for Price and 30 M
  16. That's 5 wasted minutes I'll never get back. guess I know how Mike feels now
  17. why because he thinks we dont need a pitcher who can eat innings and probably come free.? its infuriating if eppler cant get a guy who can take the ball every 5th day with a track record of actually consistently winning games, whats the use? the reds loved what Sonny Gray did for them, and I see Happ as this years version
  18. youre right of course. ill always root for Mike, but Lou gets my dander up because he doesnt realize how important having someone to take the ball every5th day is
  19. believe what you want, sooner or later youll realize youre wasting the career of the greatest player of this generation, as great as he is he cant do it alone, rendon will help but without any pitchers who have a track record of taking the ball every 5th day youre going nowhere Atlanta non tendered Teheran Bundy has a 5 era over the last two years Heaney cant stay healthy and ohtani as great as he is pitches once a week Canning has great promise but who is gonna eat innings its not like the pen can carry the staff (on second thought Buttrey probably thinks he can do it all by himself...god love him
  20. boy, coach Roy would sure love you, hed have you running up the bleachers non stop
  21. im a mike trout fan for years he went to school with my cousins in joisey, and they clued me in, we all were heart broken when he was drafted one pick before the yankees picked and the three of us have rooted for him ever since each of us has a signed trout jersey that we got mike to sign at yankee stadium in 2013
  22. you know ive rooted for the angels because I love mike trout but because of you Lou. im gonna laugh so hard when he never wins a single playoff game itll be sad for sure but you deserve it
  23. no bozo, I said Happ over the lat 4 years has more wins (59) than Kluber (58) and Keuchel (43). because he pitches every 5th day. theres value in that. only and imbecile reduces that to wins The Angels biggest problem is they havent had that since Weaver Richards and Shoemaker, as good as Ohtani is he doesnt help you there as long as you dont understand the basic fact that you need a guy who can take the ball every 5th day and consistently generate wins youll get nowhere and trout will retire without a single playoff win let alone a ring
