THE Official 2019-2020 Hot Stove Thread
Bill Neftleberg replied to T.G.'s topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
word on the wfan in ny was the Angels Offered Jo Adell among others for Syndergaard but the mets turned it down and then acquired marisnick. if thats true at least eppler is trying JP Morosi also said yesterday they tried for boyd but were turned down too -
rendon is great help, i think it is a great move, but its only one side of the equation, Baseball is at least 50 percent pitching, theres a statement that good pitching stops good hitting, so even if the team wins a bunch of 10-8 games theres still gonna be a bunch where the hitting cant compensate for having a starting staff with an over 5 era, as MLB tv spoke of today. Joel Sherman, Tom Verducci and Jason Stark arent rocket scientists, I grant you but they do have a point. as John Smoltz said it puts far too much pressure on Trout and Rendon as an aside MLB trade rumors ran a poll tonight, and roughly 60% of those who voted said they expect the Angels to win fewer than 85 games
