  1. It was July 28 that Eppler acquired Victorino/Murphy/Dejesus to replace Matt Joyce in 2015. He released Espinosa on July 20 of last year when he wasn't cutting it. Kinsler is negative WAR right now and it isn't all too different from last year. I fully expect Eppler to evaluate all areas of the team come trade deadline. Bullpen, 2B, RF. He's shown he will be flexible if there is a move to be made.
  2. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2017/02/23/veterans-turn-young-players-going-too-far-little-alarming/98308700/ “I really think clubs are using the age number to their advantage – which if you ask me, being 34, is a little ridiculous,” says Kinsler, whose .831 OPS ranked fourth among AL second basemen in 2016. “I feel like I can play this game for a long time and be extremely productive. But they have risk evaluators determining how healthy guys have been in the past, they try to put a number on what you’re worth, and basically predict that you’re going to decline. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/is-it-time-to-worry-about-ian-kinsler/ These articles are from 2 years ago but they predicted Kinsler's decline to a T. 34 seems to be the age where 2B's careers head south like a cliff, which isn't that unsimilar to other positions to be fair. 34 was also Kinsler's last great season. Now about to be 36, it's not looking too good for him. This offseason Chase Utley was the only player that exclusively plays 2B to sign a big league deal. Brandon Phillips, Espinosa, Walker... With Hernandez, LeMahieu, Dozier all available, a lot of spots on contending teams at 2B are already filled up by young, controllable players. Kinsler will be looking at a minor league deal at best this offseason, I would grab a rental at the deadline if he keeps this up. There's too many good 2B out there to put up with this.
  3. Through May 6, Danny Espinosa .150/.218/.270/.488 Ian Kinsler .200/.274/.271/.545 both had good defense too
  4. Ohtani at 1.0 WAR. With about 21% of the season done he's on pace for 4.8 ish WAR. Probably will settle around 3.5 ish. Which overall, if you're unbiased, is good but not amazing.
  5. no shit dude, but it's like someone telling their dumb son to score a 1500 SAT. It's not within their ability range. This SP can only go through the order twice, but it's like this all around baseball. That's why you have the 8th man in the bullpen. We just don't have people down there that we actually want in the game. If we had a good bullpen we would want to reach it as soon as possible.
  6. well this turned to shit real quick! top of the order, 1st and 2nd no outs
  7. I was on the least amount of reasonable innings possible bandwagon, I want as many at bats as possible though.
  8. this is what I meant at ending the outing at 6 innings!
  9. sometimes the only way girls usually go to games is if guys they think are cute are playing. One of my coworkers only likes the Dodgers bc of Seager, she went to games with other guys at work just to see him. But now that he's hurt she won't go to any games this year lol.
  10. 2 out of 3 games every series is a resounding success, especially against a team with their record. But this should have been a sweep!
  11. ok, thanks for the information. Is she an Ohtani fan?
  12. yea I agree, Calhoun and Kinsler are pretty fun to watch!
  13. if he ends this inning under 90 pitches I think he'll go the 7th, if over I think they pull him
  14. 76+15 (his avg so far) = 91 pitches. If they send him back out there for the 7th there's a good chance they'll have to pull him in the middle of the inning, and they seem to want to end his outings conservatively on a good note.
  15. Ohtani is probabaly going one more inning unless he takes less than 10 pitches or something close to that.
  16. WOW! Trout is the most complete player of all time, dude deserves a GG this year and MVP!
