    dude what are you talking about it makes perfect sense, no Trout means we can use Calhoun in the #2 slot to get him going. Otherwise that slot would be taken, 3D chess.

    Half the SP's in the ML's hit every time they pitch. Ohtani's agent at least publicly was considering signing with the Dodgers, let's not pretend like he'll break in half if he hits when he pitches. By that account Bumgarner and Kershaw are screwed since they bat 2-3 times every start.

    I like him mixing in all four pitches - I think he should save the split so hitters don't see it as much So far the game plan by Scioscia/Nagy/Maldonado/Ohtani is right on the money as far as balance in pitch selection
