  1. Do any of you have any idea what kind of a toe/foot injury J-Up suffered last year? Regardless that he returned after it, he was forced to shut it down about the same time as Trout last season, Sept 10, granted the team was out of it. He just couldn't return fully to form. Understandable. Imagine running barefooted with snapping your big toe upon impact and how that splits the foot, inside. Well, that happened with him in a shoe, somehow. He suffered a Grade III sprain, and he's lucky enough that he didn't have to have surgery with the x-ray negative then. Consider the part of the body that takes forever to heal with all the weight pressure on it regularly, straining, that is the foot. https://www.thefantasydoctors.com/mlb-inj/what-to-make-of-the-justin-upton-toe-injury/
  2. 1. Keep focused with the current offense, as is. (Upton's a gamer, he'll bounce back in a big way, give the guy a break who's been trying to shake off that weird injury since the 2019 beginning). 2. Who wouldn't want a Ryan Yarborough or Nathan Eovaldi type added to their pitching corps? Reinforce it that way, and take a page out of TB's book from last season. Clubs that aren't solid atop w/ their SP can win w/ solid arms for the middle (versatile at SP). Focus on the underscore. 3. Adell needs more work, still too green, send him back down to work on some things with the bat. Like, try easier.
  3. If they keep Rengifo then trade LaSella. If they keep LaStella, then trade Rengifo. Who out there on the depth needs IF w/ some P, RP, or RP/SP in exchange? The Braves, I think: Send Rengifo to them for Tyler Matzek
  4. I opened that other thread on Wed late night not even knowing that the article had coincidentally been earlier the same day. I'll look over this, for now
  5. Are you getting smart again, dude?! Geez, Andrelton goes by Simba and Dre. "Come on, man...are you a junkie?!" (To quote Mark Levin, [if that was Donald Trump] "that would be the end if it!"
  6. They seem to have a puzzle in front of them when Dre returns. Fletcher must play, utility, but they can't revolve the DH w/ him w/ Ohtani there. LaStella probably must play that he bats 2nd, yet with the shoddy glove. I think they probanly look for La Stella trade suitors that they already have Rengifo, as they're some clubs out there with pitching, right?
  7. I'm ready to jump off that wall every time I come in here, I swear to God! …"I think of man, and I take away his reason and accountability."
  8. A nimrod is a needle in a haystack in here. You're the rare few that I have been able to get through too, Lou, thanks! Tick Tock Tick Tock...they need an arm, fast, or they're gonna be slow out of the gate, again! There's an abundance of arms in SD, maybe Epp should go that that direction.
  9. It just doesn't get anywhere in here, that's actually the scary part.
  10. Scrap the baseball trading card talk mindset, I fool myself into giving that chance with every time I come back.
  11. I like Rich Hill. He's still under 1000 IP though pushing 40. He's turned out to be a late-bloomer with quite a trend since 2016, 4-1 last year with 2.45 ERA before a non-arm injury held him up. The Angels probably have the best lineup in baseball assembled now, hands down, enhanced by Adell coming up, especially. Sliding Ohtani down without the current pressure by the depth chart shown is key. Teheran was a good signing to add to their rotation there. Great arm with career average 6IP for quality starts as a bridge to strong bullpen opportunity. Heaney, Teheran, (Hill), Ohtani, Canning, Bundy...the pressure is even more off on Ohtani now if they were to sign Hill. The Angels have been forced season after season with changing their looks as they've waited for healing as it is, quality starts is all that is needed to start off, with making rounds deeper into 2020.
  12. Reverting to a Hudism for 2 sucky lame titles
  13. What, Upton On The Up? Just as lame!
  14. Healthier, showing as that impact bat, tapping in, what we've been waiting for.
  15. The Trading Skaggs rumors was short-lived
  16. It's been dead but forcing the Yankees to shell out more by that hot East contest was the original notion.
  17. Though sellers so far, hopefully the Angels might be buyers on Harvey then extend him on a new contact. Hitting 95mph on the gun, he might be re-emerging.
  18. Do they send them and try to re-sign him in the off-season, then? The NYY payroll is pretty much hamstrung of re-signing Richards with Stanton, is it not?
  19. Change the Richards premise to Skaggs whose under control until 2021, would you work that?
  20. My mistake, went to Cots and read off Valbuena's above him. He's a free agent next year. That takes his value down.
  21. Richards under control for this and next year (with .5 mil buyout option). He was very impressive in Seattle his last start, and we are nearing the deadline in 3 weeks. If he continues to gun toward it, it is peak time to trade him as quite the chip. I only threw Torres in as possible Eppler demand return while we need a 2B. The Cubs are faced the same between Addison and Machado.
  22. Seize this unique season moment's opportunity with playing upon that heated battle between NYY and Boston fighting for that division and the best record. Garrett Richards couldn't be more valuable to NYY. Possible Trade?: Richards and Kinsler for Torres and Gray
  23. Cozart comes back, he strains shoulder, and has season-ending surgery; Lamb is put in, and within 3 outings, he goes on the DL. Not just season ending injuries but the small stints collecting that is killing this team.
