Ohtani's average fastball velocity was 98 mph today. Basically, the same as it was in Japan. And nothing compared to the low-90s he was throwing during ST. Just further shows why ST performances don't mean a thing.
Most of the hits were bloops and softly-hit grounders. Not worried at all. The stuff is there, which is all that matters in ST.
A bunch of other excellent pitchers have an inflated ERA during ST. This isn't something just unique to Ohtani.
Ridiculous. Another bloop hit. They're not even hitting the ball hard.
I don't care about the results in ST. What is important is that the stuff is there.
