  1. If the Angels landed Sherzer, be honest, wouldn’t you be pretty excited about the Angels having a shot this year? I would. (And would assume the only way they would do it is to sign him to an extension so he would be great for next year.) The guy is a beast and really fun to watch. And I think many teams would deeply fear facing the Angels (especially with Trout and Rendon healthy) in a postseason series.
  2. My daughter turned 15 recently and she went from looking like a 14 year old to looking like a 20 year old overnight. So while I am joking with you, it comes from what I am going through! I am pretty much the guy in in the gif.
  3. There is no good reason to move him to short. But I would consider it “permanently” (like for a whole season) if that’s what is necessary in an overall plan that makes him playing short the Angels biggest problem.
  4. What would you argue if you represented Rocker? That it is “normal” these days for pitchers to at some point need either TJ or close to it, so that the Mets should have expected this either now or in the future, therefore there is no reason to sign at a discount. It would be fun to hear the conversations.
  5. This just in: His brother Fumar Rocker just failed a drug test for THC.
  6. Kumar’s camp gaming the system? Just noticed this:
  7. I am not arguing with YOU. I am just making my own comment replying to the comment it best follows. I have zero issue with you. Honestly. Message boards are best when people share their perspectives, often opposing. But that doesn’t always mean it is a personal jab if any kind. I am so busy all the time with work that I often jump into the board for like a minute at a time, read something, and just shoot off a post sharing my thought. I apologize if my comment seemed confrontational. Not intended to be that way.
  8. Great. He is living a life better than 99.999999% of all people who ever walked the earth. He seems like a pretty grounded person with good perspective. Maybe the problem is his life isn’t working out for him the way you want?
  9. I really hope the Angels are one of the most active teams. Unfortunately the number of trades executed is not a true indication of how active they are in trying to make deals. I want good trades, not just trades to make trades. Hopefully we will all be happy with what happens! Lets go Perry!!
  10. Really good post based in reality and a sensible objective to build the club for next year while potentially helping the team compete this year.
  11. People keep talking about buy or sell and the Angels place in the standing this year in determining buy or sell. That’s all noise. The Angels just need to focus on improving the team for next year and beyond, chasing primarily a controllable starting pitcher. The acquired player/players can ALSO help the team this year. The Angels place in the standing has no bearing on this objective. None. Additionally, separately, the Angels can consider if they want to exchange Cobb or Heaney or Iglesias for other pieces if the return can deliver help as early as next year. It just depends what you get back.
  12. I want the Angels to pursue one of Castillo, Marquez, Hendricks, or Berrios. Or Scherzer if you can extend him past this year. This is huge help for next year, and it could help the team make a run this year.
  13. I am not upset. I am poking back at the guy that agrees with me on both concept and likelihood but takes a contrarian stance anyway, as if that is a contribution.
  14. I dig Sherzer and many fans would freak out if the Angels traded away a premium prospect for him. But if I knew they could extend him for a couple years, I probably would do it. Clearly his age is a red flag, but the guy is still dominating.
  15. Upset if it doesn’t happen? Strad, where on earth did you come up with that fantasy? Your comprehensive response to my post is basically, yes that makes sense, but you predict it doesn’t happen. Again Strad, Congratulations for predicting it will probably be hot and dry in Palm Springs on June 19, 2026. Great contribution.
  16. Yea how great would it be to see the Dodgers lose out on Scherzer and also whiff on Bauer being a beast for them down the stretch. That would be fun.
  17. If Scherzer gets traded, I would love to see him go the Padres and help that team beat the Dodgers and go to the WS.
  18. I suggest an angle the Angels COULD look at (“could” was the exact word I used) and you basically predict a deal like this will not happen. Congratulations for making the easy bet. Come deadline, go skip to the betting counter and cash your $2 to show bet on the 5/9 favorite and then tell me how you were right.
  19. We disagree. I think you probably could land a “decent” prospect for taking a financial obligation off a contending club, especially if it was necessary for them to complete a different trade. Your argument seems to be that one team is not going to overpay and give up too good of a prospect. And I never claimed a team would make a deal they don’t like.
