  1. Why does this situation remind me of this commercial turned Gif?
  2. Why not? I’m mad we didn’t throw that money at Cole. That was a miss. Nobody else was worthy of that kind of money pitching wise on the market. No he isn’t a pitcher but getting Rendon softened the hurt a bit because he’s that good. Still, not saying I’m thrilled about this offseason but The sky isn’t falling either. Time will tell.
  3. I hear ya but what would u have done different? Handed out 4 years to Ryu? Surely people here would have lost their heads had that contract been given out to a guy as injured as he has been in his career and on the wrong side of 30. Kuechel? He was about average last year and also, a lot of money for a guy who is probably declining rapidly. Only guy I’m serious mad about is Cole, but we did get Rendon. Other than that I can’t see who else we: A) had a LEGITIMATE chance of getting or B) would have moved the needle enough to go all in for. Also, I’m a 9ers and Lakers fan and I told all of my friends all three of my fav teams would be in the playoffs in 2020 (after ALL being lousy the year prior) 2 for 3 so far lol. Good juju coming our way and the Angels will follow suit.
  4. I’m a bit Disappointed for sure, but hear me out. Getting Maybe the 2nd best 3rd baseman in all of baseball isn’t a terrible consolation prize. Plus Teheran isn’t exactly nothing. He’s at least durable and a 2 time all-star. Shohei coming back is essentially like signing a top notch starter. Who knows how good he can be? He might still be the unicorn people hoped for. Canning, Sandoval, Suarez, Barría etc...surely one of these guys are bound to step up. Bundy is also durable if nothing else (lord knows we have the worst luck with pitching health). IMO we are one more 3rd starter away from being a threat to make the playoffs and do some damage. Add all of that to one of the best managers in baseball + the soon to be emergence of Jo Adell/Brandon Marsh and it’s far from depression time in Anaheim.
  5. So what’s the deal with guys like Jose Rojas, Jared Walsh (especially this guy), and Taylor Ward? Are these guys just “too old” to be considered legit prospects for us? When will they all get their REAL shot? Walsh is ripping the damn cover off the ball, setting records. I know Ward has been up, but we need to see what these guys got and call them up now while this season is wash. You never know when you will have the opportunity to do that again, well hopefully next year we are contending and don’t have that “luxury.”
  6. I’m so heartbroken over this man. Like for real this got to me.
  7. Yes please! I’d almost give up a lower tier prospect just to get him the F off this team smh.
  8. Did Albert just say “When we hug n sh*t” live on ESPN? Lol
  9. Agreed, smh. Well deserved but annoying as hell man. It’s like the Angels and their fans were just in the background for the ride.
  10. So I was reading an article about Madison Bumgarner potentially being on the trade block. Obviously one of our biggest (if not THE biggest) deficiencies is our lack of quality starting pitching. I know Bumgarner has had health issues in recent years but this guy, in my mind, can carry a staff on his back at times when he’s on his game. What would it take to get him? Thoughts?
  11. No reason to rush him...especially since we have The GOAT locked up. Just let that young talent develop at their own pace and sit back and watch this become a dynasty.
  12. It’s actually a 10 year $360 million contract tacked on to his existing two years.
  13. Middleton and Davis looks like twins separated at birth
  14. Not entirely. It's all about how well you are meshing down the stretch. The Dodgers last year had it all and didn't make the series. They won't make it this year either lol
