  1. AFS86, thanks for the well thought out response.  I know how much time that takes to lay out there.. I think either Caleb Joseph or Wieters has to leave the O's.  Wieters bats .260.  We would be far better off batting CJ Wilson as our DH for Ianetta at this point.  We are in the AL, we can't have an automatic out in our lineup.

I'm fine with the pitching, although an ace like Price would be incredible.

I have always liked Freese and, even more from your analysis, I hope we re-sign him at 3B.

So now it's between 2B and LF..  I said on this board when the season started that we should have gotten Dee Gordon (God I agree with AO) and that still may be possible.  We really need some speed on this team.  And maybe Murphy is the answer at LF.  We need an impact player at LF like Cespedes or at 2B like Gordon if we are going to stand pat on 3B and pitching.  You get Gordon or Cespedes and Wieders and resign Freese, things are looking pretty nice from my point of view.

  2. I said TOP prospects.  And it is precise..  Would you trade Trout for Buxton, Seager, Giolito, Urias and Crawford?  The first two, three.. all of them?  Gallo also to make it 6?  Who today would you trade him for?

  3. I just wish we could have seen Cowart play for a bit longer.  He seemed to be hitting his stride and it would have been nice to know what we have with him before making the decision as to whether or not Freese should be resigned.

I thought we wanted to hoard young talent in the minors in the hopes we can turn it into this mythical dynasty some time in the distant future.  He fits that bill perfectly, no?

  4. This.  I don't get the hate on Richards.  Its not like Santiago earlier this season pitching over his head.  Richards has some of the best stuff in baseball including having more spin on his fastball than anyone else according to statcast.  What I see is a guy who has great stuff that took until he was 26 to be able to put it all together and locate his pitches.  He didn't even get a full season in before getting injured.  Doesn't it make sense that it might take him a while to get back to that point? He has his dominant games, he just needs to work on consistency.  Although he does have a 72% quality start rate, so he's been pretty solid.  While I am not opposed to signing a proven frontline starter, I don't think it is the main priority.  2B>LF>C>bullpen>ace.

I really don't get the priority part here and it's not just you saying this so please enlighten me..  2B is our #1 priority?  Is Gia dead for good?  Freese is UFA in 2016, so how can 3B not even make your list.  Catcher 3rd??  Ianetta is the single worst catcher in all of MLB, especially offensively.  That's our #1 priority.  LF I get, I've been shilling for Cespedes all year.  Calhoun, Trout, Cespedes outfield/lineup?? Ridiculous..  Finally, we have arms that can move to the bullpen, we do need one more ace.  C>LF>ACE>3B>2B

  5. Truly, what has Morono ever done for this franchise that was good?

We are now one of the laughing stocks of MLB because of his many wrong moves!

    I hope we finish 72-90!

Been to the playoffs 6 times

Sold over 3M tickets every year

    Extended Mike Trout

influenced you to write over 13 THOUSAND dickish posts

Has way more wins than losses

    He > you

  6. Why all the hate towards 2B when, up until now, it's been about 10th on our list of problems?

    1. Hamilton ruined the lineup and the starting LF position on day one, and ****ed up the FO completely

    2. Ianetta is the single worst starting catcher in the big leagues

    3. Dino Ebel is severely missed at 3rd base

    4. Freese getting hit and DL'd during a win streak

    5. Trout getting hurt and then struggling

    6. Pujols forgetting how to hit.. again.

    7. Jered Weaver getting ancient before our eyes

    8. CJ Wilson still being CJ Wilson

    9. Not getting Cespedes or another bat in LF at the TD

    10. Not getting another SP at the deadline.

  7. I'd love to see the team go out and get a legit two-way C. The team hasn't had one since Benjie Molina. But how many of those guys are there in the league these days, and who of that group is available. Outside of Posey and I guess Schwarber now (though he won't be a C for much longer), what C is going to make a big impact on offense? Not saying the team doesn't need a better C, I just don't know that it will do much to improve the lineup.

Matt Weiters or Caleb Joseph would be an improvement over Ianetta.. One of them should be available.  Perez needs to play the rest of the season to see if he can be the guy.
