  1. Please don't throw that duck of a 4 seamer.
  2. MOTO hitters need to come through here.
  3. Harrison has a whip of 3.0 in this game. Chase this fool.
  4. Iannetta should be known as Captain Stabbin. How can a player have such a great batters eye with unknown pitches but then have so much trouble framing pitches that he called?
  5. Death by a 1000 cuts. A bloop and 4 seeing eye bullshit hits.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yy7VZ6IiInI This happened yesterday. Dude runs away from Long Beach cops. They shoot and kill him. (go to 1:50 in the video)
  7. A free out (when the pitcher is struggling) and the opportunity to pitch around Trout? Nice gift. Make them pay Albert.
  8. They bothered me less than the idiotic behind-the-backstop camera angle on the first pitch of every at-bat. Whoever thought that was a good idea should get a sledgehammer to the groin.
  9. Not sure I'd want to subject the next crop of young relievers to what I think is clearly inferior instruction. I've had a golf coach who could detect the flaw in my swing in a few minutes and suggest solutions that had my swing back in short order. I've also had more than one coach who "guesses" and sends me on a wild goose chase from hell trying to fix things that aren't broken while missing the single flaw. Different sport and different situation, so that analogy might not hold water, but I am quite certain that there is a huge difference between a good coach and a bad one. Maybe Butcher really is a good coach and my conclusion is based on insufficient information but I don't think so. Compared to his peers within the division, especially Maddux and Young, I think he falls short.
  10. That was awesome. Definitely made that kids day.
  11. Tough matchup. The Angels have been good against lefties this year but Gio is always tough on righties (slightly reverse career splits). Would love to see Weaver return to dominating.
  12. Eyes Over Compton: How Police Spied on a Whole City In a secret test of mass surveillance technology, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department sent a civilian aircraft* over Compton, California, capturing high-resolution video of everything that happened inside that 10-square-mile municipality. Compton residents weren't told about the spying, which happened in 2012. "We literally watched all of Compton during the times that we were flying, so we could zoom in anywhere within the city of Compton and follow cars and see people," ..... Sgt. Douglas Iketani acknowledges that his agency hid the experiment to avoid public opposition. "This system was kind of kept confidential from everybody in the public,"he said. "A lot of people do have a problem with the eye in the sky, the Big Brother, so to mitigate those kinds of complaints we basically kept it pretty hush hush." http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/04/sheriffs-deputy-compares-drone-surveillance-of-compton-to-big-brother/360954/ Bastards seem very proud of their lawbreaking.
  13. LMAO dumbasses. New York (AFP) - New York police Tuesday were eating extra helpings of humble pie after asking people to post images of themselves and NYPD officers on Twitter -- only to face a deluge of pictures of alleged police brutality. "Do you have a photo w/ a member of the NYPD? Tweet us & tag it #myNYPD. It may be featured on our Facebook," the department posted on its NYPD News Twitter feed, hoping to fuel a feel-good, low-cost public relations campaign. The result was anything but. Images and tweets of many arrests of demonstrators went viral, including such presumed lowlights as an officer pulling the hair of a handcuffed young black woman and another of the bloodied face of an 84-year-old stopped for jaywalking. One image showing police after striking a protestor brought the remark "Here the #NYPD engages with its community members, changing hearts and minds one baton at a time." ... http://news.yahoo.com/york-police-twitter-campaign-backfires-badly-235114700.html
  14. Another reason for their shoot first mentality may be because they are psycho pricks who get a big thrill out of killing someone. Listen to the swine in the video below. Keith Sandy says "Booyah" right after he shoots to death a homeless man in the back (listen at 1:04). Cool that they shot him with non-lethal bean bags after he was already dead. I guess this was done so that when the police chief inevitably exonerates his brave hero officers he can say “Actually if you watch the video tape, all the less than lethal devices were in fact deployed." Yes, he really did say that. Or maybe they do it because the Albuquerque police union hands out a $500 bonus every time one of its officers kills someone. No shit. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/25/us/payments-to-albuquerque-officers-involved-in-shootings-called-bounty-system.html Kieth Sandy, the "officer" in the above video, had already been fired for receiving pay from a private security contractor while on the clock for State Police. Of course no charges were ever filed *shocked* When he was hired by APD, there were assurances that “They do not carry guns, they are not going to be badged,” Castro said in July 2007 . “They’re civilian employees. They’ll be collecting evidence.” Looks like they lied. http://krqe.com/2014/03/19/cop-involved-in-sunday-shooting-had-rocky-past-performance/ I wonder how many of the whistleblowers get rehired. I bet none. There is no worse crime than violating their Blue Code of Silence.
  15. This thing is winnable. Cowgill has actually been pretty good in his opportunities.
  16. I like Bastardo better. He should pitch for our bullpen.
  17. One run allowed given that cf of an inning isn't too bad.
