Who pitches the remaining games if the Angels are eliminated with no extra starting pitchers on the 40 man. Maybe one of the 10 outfielders.
-
What's the deal with Pestano? 0.00 ERA for July and August @SLC and no call up. Much better than Morin.
-
Heard Rucinski got DFA'd by phone 45 minutes ago.
-
Cory Rasmus, who will start Sunday for the Angels, threw a high of 42 pitches this season on 6/30 at AAA. In 6 of 11 games, under 20.

Rucinski 5-1 with 3.27 ERA last 10 starts in AAA.

Pestano will be called up. Last Eight outings scoreless.
-
Rucinski with 2.138 ERA last 6 starts in AAA.

Andrew Heaney's numbers had been poor the last 5 starts at AAA but Scioscia said last weekend they weren't indicative of how he'd pitched.
The PCL was beginning to eat him alive.
-
Rucinski pitching much better than Heaney last 4 or 5 starts.

You just don't want to be the pitcher that Ibarra relieves, he allowed 8 of 11 inherited runners score in May. He needs to pitch with the bases empty.
-
Your correct it was Heaney's fourth start in SL, I missed one. Not sure about weather comment since yesterday's high was 71 versus a normal of 76. Not sure about horrific infield play as I watched on pc and view changes to field after ball is into the outfield.
-
There was no more wind than normal, it was only Heaney's 3rd time to pitch in SLC in 10 starts. Tropeano gave up 7 runs in 3.2 inning on Tuesday, welcome to SLC.
-
Heaney has had 7 starts for the Bee's but only 2 in Salt Lake. How was only 1 run earned last night, following play by play not sure.
-
He was great in the 6th-8th innings, not so much in the 9th.
Rucinski was outstanding considering he had not thrown live since September 3rd and has been throwing to an intern in Phoenix because no one was at the complex.
-
Time to bring up Drew Rucinski for a start or 2
Rucinski has been in Phoenix throwing pens and simulated games since last Monday.
-
They still have Rucinski throwing to stay stretched out.
-
They have Rucinski sitting in Phoenix.

Thatcher was awful for the Travelers on Saturday as well, 2 earned runs in 1 inning of work.
-
Diaz imploded for the Travelers on Saturday, blown save and loss. He couldn’t throw strikes.
-
Leblanc over Rucinski is disappointing to me.
Other than that it looks good
Rucinski is pitching for the Travelers against Tulsa on Wednesday.
The Travelers are already shorthanded for starting pitching with Roth gone.

Brady and Rucinski still in Arizona, staying ready.
