  1. You haven't been on a New York Jets message board, have you? I would like to think, naively perhaps, that one can be proud of all the success the team had this season (I'll remember that sweep of Oakland and seeing the Angels win at Fenway Park), as well as the individual accomplishments (emergence of some good young pitchers, Calhoun, etc.) And at the same time, one can be incredibly frustrated by the way the team rolled over to an admittedly hot Royals team and the aftermath that has followed, notably Scioscia and our stars acting like this was just another series and everything is fine.
  2. I certainly like him less and less when I see quotes like this... ''We won a lot of ballgames, but in the playoffs, the slate is wiped clean,'' Hamilton said. ''I don't think we played poorly.'' Really, Josh?! If you don't want to admit that the team and you, personally, had an absolutely dreadful playoff series, then don't say anything at all...you're just making it worse.
  3. And I'm so sick of them talking about the Royals defense when the Angels are doing everything they can to make it so easy...
  4. I would say do the Angels deserve to win this game, but do the Royals either? Yeesh...
  5. I was pretty much in the same boat, growing up in Rhode Island and now living in the Boston area...started on the ESPN board as it was a great place to find news on the team I had followed since 1986. I think I was still on there during the '05 playoffs against Chicago...when Angelswin.com started up, it was the obvious choice to move over. And though I don't post very often, I always appreciate the insight and humor the board regulars provide. Someday, maybe I'll get out to an Angels game and meet some of you... As for my name, I think I changed it to that after a "spirited" discussion with some regulars back in the day, in which I took offense to their mischaracterization of my fellow New Englanders. If you're a fan of the Bouncing Souls, then you'll know what the name means. Seriously, though, thanks as always to Chuck and everyone here for providing a home for Angels fans everywhere!
  6. As a lifelong resident of New England, I find this quite humorous...
  7. The few times of the year I get to see the Angels, and this is what I have to look forward to...
