    It seemed like Vargas then Williams threw first pitch balls to almost every batter. If you get ahead in the count you are infinitely more like to get a batter out. I learned this when I was playing Pony League baseball as a 9 year old.

    All things considered it wasn't a bad trade. Morales would be riding the bench and somebody worse than Joe Blanton (if possible) would be in the rotation right now.

    The only saving grace is beating Houston (basically a AAA team) by the skin of their teeth.

    Thinking about it, I've never seen so many seeing eye hits. Me thinks the scouting and defensive alignment must be poor.

    These guys suck dick. In terms of fundamentals and playing with urgency this might be the worst Angel team I've seen in my 20 some odd years of watching the team. The IE 66ers would be an upgrade. At least those kids play hard and smart.

    I really can't remember the last time the starting pitching was this bad. Maybe 2000, when every hitter and his brother was juiced up, and the Angels rotation featured vaunted arms like Tim Belcher, Ken Hill, Brian Cooper, Ramon Ortiz, Seth Etherton, etc

    I used to post as IE Angel. I became a fan during the 90s growing up. All my buddies were Dodger fans and I was the rebel.
