    Pujols deal wasnt supposed to go sour in the first 3 years..the risk was there but the risk was for the backend. Dipoto signed the dude that hit multiple homers in the world series against our main rival at the time..no one had any idea it would go this way.

    But thats my point. You are comparing expectations over reality. Everyone's expectations is that last year's rotation was one of the best. The reality after the season was that it was pretty bad. So do you blame last years results on the GM? Absolutely not.

    Exactly...if a GM makes moves that make you the favorites 2 years in a row..I dont think the GM is to blame. You did what u needed to do on paper..time for your coach and players to make it work.

    Bingo! At what point do you have to put some blame on a manager? maybe not the first couple years of fail...but im sure if there is a point to fire one, this off-season will be the perfect time.

    im with the "Scioscia needs to go group." Some of you guys act like this is Scioscia's first year of fail. "Rotation sucks, cant blame that on Scioscia"...well how did we do when we had Weaver, Santana, Haren, Grienke and Wilson? Sometimes you just need a new voice in the clubhouse...it might work, it might not, but to stick to something that hasn't worked for years is crazy.
