SS has been an issue lately. Cowart is presently 24th in plate performance at the PCL He has not logged LF time there this season, but has played 3B, SS, 2B, even 1B, mostly 3B. He has a tremendous glove, and if the bat has arrived, indicated from his PCL strides compiled last year, he's the SS until Simmons comes back. They're moving away from Brendan Ryan.

Was HITTING, but turn of the worm, PITCHING now, unless they get better determination from Skaggs and Heaney.
...How can it not be with Santiago and Shoemaker presently 1-2 in the rotation right now?
I expect Shoe to bounce back, though.

Just angling. They had a deeper outlook with their rotation going into the season, with ? marks all around now for it.
1. Will Weaver hang it up
2. Will Wilson remain
3. Grim or promising between Skaggs and Heaney
4. Santiago the Ace
On top of that, 2017 has Weaver and Wilson falling off, with arguably the worst FA SP market after Strasberg extended.
Nava can play 1B, therefore chipping Cron for that SP future help might be a considerable option for Eppler at this stage, agree or disagree?

Would you not, rather?

Angle and Argument: As Colorado has drafted top P prospects, might you give up big hitting for them?
Cron for Gray and Anderson, perhaps?

Two reasons why they don't trade Trout. 1. Season ticket sales for next season could drop off dramatically. He puts butts in the seats. 2. I doubt the org feels they could get enough value talent and dollar wise from another team.
We were lucky to win a WS. Halos fan are so fair weather, it's not even funny!

Would you rather have one guy that gets you a 9 WAR or four guys that each get you 3?
Careful now, you're getting into Buzzie Bavasi territory by that comment. "I could get 2 pitchers with 20 wins vs giving Ryan a million dollars." Yeah, that worked out!

Frustrating, but they've got to deal with it. Are they going to call up Cowart now?

Outrageous thought, but will have fun with it. Halos looking snake-bitten with injuries again, damn Santa Ana River, need friggen Indian medicine god on this one!
Working from a base package to start, whether he might reel in return 2-3 of the current top MLB 100 prospects from the Nationals: RHP Lucas Giolito (1); SS/2B Trea Turner (9); RHP Eric Fedde (74), that might work for a suitable players'-under-control-foundation, saving from FA spending some years ahead. Angel Stadium confines are conducive to Turner's hitting style and play.
It would put Trout closer to home, but wouldn't giving the Nationals Trout with Harper doom baseball contenders for years ahead, though? Geez, and if DT becomes President, he might form major conglomerated partnership to buy the team, pump them full of money, and he looks like Fidel Castro with the Nationals representation!
Kaleb Cowart promoted; Luetge DFA

Escobar would be getting traded before that happens. The DH duty is soley between Cron and Pujols. Unless, Cron is traded.
