ANGELS SELECT SS ZACH NETO WITH FIRST PICK (13TH OVERALL) IN 2022 MLB FIRST-YEAR PLAYER DRAFT

ANAHEIM – The Angels selected SS Zach Neto from Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC) as their first pick (1st round, 13th overall) in the 2022 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Angels Director, Amateur Scouting Tim McIlvaine. Neto, 21, finished his third year at Campbell University where he hit .407 (81/199) with 23 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs and 50 RBI. The Lineup: Offseason plans and 2023 Outlook
