  1. Angels don't have a day off till Monday. You don't pitch pitchers who aren't used to pitching on 4 days rest on, we'll, 4 days rest this early in the season.

Certainly. But if you COULD do it given the schedule....

  2. It's not a personal attack at all. It's calling you out one what you're trying to do. I've noticed it at least a few times. The last time it happened was a couple days ago. I was going to say something about it then, but I decided to let it go that time. It's very obvious this time because you thought you were still using your "Ernie" ID when you replied to that other poster.

If that's so, then why didn't I delete it? I'm not OC Angels and maybe he'll come here and prove it to you, but frankly, who cares what you think?

Other posters here do agree with me and it doesn't mean I'm also them. Oregon told someone else here to stop being such as "ass" when he attacked me. Am I also Oregon?

By the way, you haven't posted a single contribution to the thread topic, but go ahead and play hall monitor and think up conspiracies.

  3. I wasn't overreacting because of a loss. He sucks. His play thus far backs up my statement. Personally I would rather have a pitcher that is good with pitching over his fielding. I admit I forgot to take his fielding into account when I said he isn't good at anything.

I agree.  I'd prefer not to have him.  No argument there.  Way back when I made my initial post here, I was directing my own angst at JD because I think it's his fault for bringing Blanton in.  Like I said, I only see Frieri as his beneficial contribution, so far.

  4. That's b.s. You were using one of your other ids by mistake. "OCAngels" and another ID always comes to your defense. It's pretty pathetic that you do that crap.

More personal attacks.  What did I do to you?

Noone has to come to my defense.  You really discount others' credibility when you claim they do that.

As far as having OC Angels as another account, it's not true.  Feel free to ask a mod for an IP check, but being that obsessed about it would be rather pathetic, now wouldn't it?

I have a few hundred posts here and have no problem holding my own.  OC Angels doesn't have jack squat as far as that many posts.  In fact he has a grand freaking total of 18 at this moment, so if I were using that moniker to do double-time defending myself, do ya think there'd be a few more posts for him?  You need to STFU because you don't make any sense.

  5. No responses huh? Argue against what I say and then say nothing when I give you something to work with. Are you Lifetime's son?

Yeah, conveniently goes on the personal attack route and when you have a valid point, he evades it.

I won't respond to people who just go personal, so yeah I'll "bow out" with this guy.

  6. Don't call me a jerk. I might start crying.

It just blows my mind that you can defend Blanton because of his fielding and the fact that he "shows up and tries". Is that really what we have come to?

My point was the overreaction of certain fans on this site.  Making statements that are not true, such as Blanton "sucks in every facet of the game", are pervasive here.  You conveniently ignored that he is very good at fielding.  This illustrates the total hyperbole so common on this forum.  People get upset at losses.  Well I'm damn pissed as well and I'm not even a season ticket holder.  Somehow asking for a fan to quality their statement has turned me into a Blanton defender.  LMAO.

  7. Good pitching always beats good hitting, yet you think offense is the problem. I'm going to avoid any further discussions with you from now on.

    Haha, wow.

Can you at least pass me a tissue because the thought of not having any more discussions with you is making me tear-up.

Seriously, I don't know why it's necessary to attack me.  Try attacking what I posted, instead.  I stated that the "offense was the biggest disappointment".  Never said it was the main problem.

  8. There's no need to explain common sense to me. Hes worked hard for those L's

I know we're losing another game, but no need to turn the angst towards me.  My post was not meant to explain common sense to you.  I find some comments here interesting and like to engage those arguments, hoping for an insightful response to my points.  I have failed in this regard.

  9. It's like half the problem. I think it is as just as much the problem as the pitching if not more

Totally agree.  A previous thread asked what our biggest disappointment was for this season and I responded with the offense.  We expected it to carry a mediocre pitching staff and it has not done that.  It's a 50 million dollar a year disappointment.

  10. ame="Earnest Borgnine of 9" post="81864" timestamp="1368505984"]Not really the criteria I would use to evaluate a pitcher.  Some get more run support than others.  Also, oddly, he has pitched against a lot of very good pitchers from other teams for some reas

Everyone is aware of his peripherals.

    Um, OK.  Thanks.

  11. Dipoto built a team that looked really good on paper. Every relevant projection system loved this team, too.

How is it his fault that this team is playing so poorly? Could anyone have predicted this team would play so poorly? Could you?

Dipoto got the pieces, it's up to the coaches and manager to get the most (or at least what was EXPECTED) from his players. That hasn't happened. At least Scioscia and Butcher have to go.

It's simple: when a trade works out for you, it was a good trade.  When it doesn't...

  12. I am realizing this team will not put together a consistent winning streak or even a collection of series wins in  row.  Although Weaver coming back may help, 4/5ths of the rotation can blow up on any given night.  So, on average, 2 of the 5 will have a poor outing each time thru and we will lose another because the offense will take at least one night off.  We got a bunch of quality starts recently from the rotation and still had a losing record.  There are just too many things wrong that can't be fixed.

I agree.  So does coach Mora.

  13. Blanton has what around 1/3 of our season losses? He is the problem.

Not really the criteria I would use to evaluate a pitcher.  Some get more run support than others.  Also, oddly, he has pitched against a lot of very good pitchers from other teams for some reason (schedule, etc).
