According to Jay Glazer, Shane Vereen broke his wrist and will be out a few weeks.

Reflecting on yesterday, the defense played well. Revis looked like he didn't miss a beat, David played really well other than the late penalty. That's a tough call but it's gonna be made in today's NFL. David making that hit on the Jets sidelines didn't help matters.
Freeman is a definite concern though. During the first drive of the game when his receiver in his helmet was out he was less than poised. That drive was absolute clownshoes. It's as if he's afraid to take control and that's not the response you want from the leader of your offense.

Offensive line was awful for most of the day. Vincent Jackson was great and I can wear my Michael Koenen jersey with pride this week. His punts and kickoffs were incredible today. Everything else was a complete derpfest.

WELP.

In the scummy world of NCAA Football, Urban Meyer is the scummiest of all. I guess you can take the coach out of the SEC, but you can't take the SEC out of the coach. Who knows though, maybe he was just as bad at Utah.

My abs look fabulous! My pewter speedo was in the wash that day.

Oilers brought Linus Omark back on a one-year deal. Very very happy about this. He should fit on the 3rd line with Gordon and Hemsky. Knowing the Copper and Blue like I do though, they'll probably bury him in OKC and dress some knuckle-dragger with "grit" instead. Because Oilers.

Hahaha NJ simply owning this thread. My fiancée is a Cowboys fan. Leading up to the 2012 draft I was hoping the Bucs would draft Morris Claiborne. I wanted him in pewter and red so badly. Well, my fiancée fell asleep around pick 4. The Bucs were up at pick 5 with Claiborne available. Then Mark Dominik got cute and traded down to 7 with Jacksonville, who wanted Justin Blackmon. Well, Dallas then trades up to 6, right in front of the Bucs so they could stab us and take Morris Claiborne.
My fiancée woke up exactly as Claiborne was putting a Cowboys hat on. She looked, laughed at me, and immediately went back to sleep.
Chimi although I do not particularly care for the Cowboys, I do love that your avatars are always Maynard James Keenan. And I used to love Marion Barber III, for what it's worth.

It'll be ok. It's still a great game. I send you this Internet hug and hope you find something, anything about the game of baseball to entertain you. Get involved in fantasy baseball next season. Wait, nevermind that will make you hate baseball more.

Jacquizz in the 13th is your only decent value for your 3rd keeper. Other than that, Colston in the 4th would be your other option I would say. Not sure whether you want to burn three of your top four picks with your keepers.
I looked at Forsett for a second, then remembered how terrible he was three years ago when I drafted him when he was in Seattle and almost passed out. If MJD went down, they might as well wheel Fred Taylor back out there.
Or if you get points for torn Achilles at charity basketball games, Connor Barth is your boy.

No concussion according to Bucs beat writer Stephen Holder. Thank goodness.

Doug Martin left tonight's preseason game after taking a knee to the head while throwing a block.
Waiting to hear some news so that my balls may return from my stomach to their normal state. Now if you'll pardon me I need to get back to my candlelight vigil.

Manuel and Amaro discussed and came to the decision two days ago.

Listening to the press conference now. Ruben Amaro just about broke down and cried when talking about how close he is with Manuel and how difficult the decision was. The Phils offered him a spot in the organization but he's taking some time off.

I appreciate all the work and thought you put into this, but if Trumbo ever brought a return of Jameson Taillon I'd hop on the next plane to Cali and orally massage DiPoto.
I'm torn here. On one hand, I love Taillon. I drafted him as a long-term keeper in my fantasy league. On the other hand I basically mocked that poster that started the Howie Trade Idea thread for posting just this scenario. Also, plane tickets are expensive and I'm all out of Chap Stick.

That guy better watch his back. Nadia's husband is NOT happy.

I hate ESPN but I was thrilled to read that Ryan Hunter-Reay won Driver of the Year. IndyCar needs any positive press it can get.

Would it really have been that bad to go back to the Adams, Patrick, Norris, and Smythe?

I don't need it. I just got an email the other day stating that I've inherited a fortune from a deceased Zimbabwean. I gave them my routing number so the cash should be in my account any day now.
I even got a kickstart on my new life. Quit my job and told my fiancée to hit the road.

If the guys who put this together every week are still doing it five years from now, I will still be looking forward to the part where Russell Wilson trolls Aaron Rodgers. That makes me laugh without fail every single time.
