EugeneWFields got a reaction from Halos of Anaheim in Angels discussing trade for Freese
I'm hearing that it's Freese for Bourjos - straight up. I think that Peter has a lot of value to the Angels. And I hate to be the doom and gloom guy, but who is going to play CF if/when Trout leaves?

If we get him for cheap, I'm good with it.

Then there's this, from a Cardinals fan....

Freese parties waaaay too hard and doesn't focus on baseball. His 2011 WS heroics made him a god in STL and he let it all go to his head. I even have have a friend that knows his dealer. Freese is done as a useful baseball player. Which he barely was in 2011. Soon he'll be on the radio with his buddy Chris Duncan. Another has been/never was.

Perhaps reuniting with Pujols will set him straight if the above is true. I do like his 2012 enough to give up a moveable piece to land him. Just not a Bourjos or Trumbo unless we're getting an arm in return as well.

    Respectfully .... I disagree.
1: Chemistry is not built though success, but adversity. Everyone loves each other when you're winning. It's when you're being challenged that one's true character, feelings and intent are revealed. That's why teams celebrate more demonstrably on a game- winning hit or during a rally - because it means more.
2: Baseball, in no way, shape, or form, is like basketball in terms of what it takes to succeed or motivate players to succeed. The games in basketball mean more on any given night because there are fewer games and baseball players and managers know that panicking in the first two months of the season won't help. Need proof? Least season, Oakland came from nowhere to win the West. The didn't panic, they just kept playing. In other words, slow and steady is the hands that wins in baseball
