    Yk's original Amber Alert thread. That was when yk was kind of the board's villian. He wasn't really well liked back then and he took a lot of heat for that thread.

    Actually yeah. I bumped a thread that had a classic IE/Brandon exchange. There was one post in that thread that had a picture of a woman in a bikini; Blarg didn't like it so he deleted the whole thread.

    But have they gotten better? I don't think any of their albums after Aenima tops it but then again that's subjective.

    Chevelle. I think they took a bit of a step back on their last album but they're a band that's maintained the same style and got better. I want to say Evanescence but their second album wasn't as good as the first. I think their last album was their best. Regardless, they're one of the best female fronted bands in rock today; I can only think of a few others that are as good or better.

    Can't stand Michelle Rodriguez. She always plays the same character who has more testosterone than most dudes. So never.

    Right, it was always high pitched but it was delivered at a faster pace and it was more in your face along with the music. In contrast, the last few albums his voice is more smooth and he holds the notes longer without the edge.

    It's a shame that we can't bump that thread. One of their passionate fans thought it was "too soon" for you to share your opinion about their music. I think they're a great band but they're not for everyone.

    Like others have said, it's almost impossible for a band to top to each album if they've been around for awhile. Rise Against did so for the first three or four albums in my opinion but their last two isn't quite as good. You might be able to make the same argument for Avenged Sevenfold but not everyone would agree.

    I hear ya, I just couldn't get past his tone on the earlier albums. To be honest, I didn't think Davey was all that talented vocally until I heard him unleash his range. He didn't do much of that on the early stuff.

    The word "evolved" is overused in the music industry when a band changes their style but I really think it applies here. No question that it's too mainstream for some but they're good at what they do.

    Indeed they are... they have a new album coming out soon and I'm looking forward to it. I'm not a fan of their work before the art of drowning. But I get that punk rock enthusiasts would disagree.

    It absolutely is. I used to watch movies almost every night but now I prefer to be locked in to a TV series. When you find a good series, you're set for a while. On the other hand, movies are a crapshoot. There's just too many that are somewhere between decent and awful.

    Great article. Seems like Panasonic is going out the way Pioneer did... make the best plasma ever and then just stop making them altogether. That's a damn shame if that ends up being the case. It's personal preference but for me it's not even close, plasma are better. Even a mediocre plasma looks better than a top of the line LCD, imo.
