I agree with you prediction...unless we start off hot, then butts will be in the seats. Opening day isn't even close to sold out yet, still plenty of seats on ticketmaster not to mention what is on the secondary markets.
My expectations are a team that is consistently ranked in the top 25 every year while making a final four once every 4 or 5 years. Get it done Guerrero!
Also Nashville's chant after goals is pretty freakin awesome, wish the Ducks had something like that where the whole crowd gets into a chant other than lets go ducks or refs you suck.
Fees for the buyer for ticket exchange this year are basically the same as stubhub last year (10% of the ticket price +$4.95 delivery). Only difference is last year stubhub had a $5 minimum or 10% so if your order wasn't at least $50 you were paying a little more but only a couple bucks (the $5 min really killed people who buy single tickets because it would turn a $1 ticket into $10.95).
I agree though, I'm happy we aren't considered the favorites this year. Hopefully this will allow the team to play loose this year and avoid the terrible April of last year.
Glen it seems to me you just made lifetimes point for him...under your example it is going to cost less per student for the school with 1000 students then it would for the school with 100 students.
Prices seem cheap for a lot of games on stubhub...the price you see on there is now the price you pay per ticket (no extra fees when checking out so if it says $7 per ticket it really is $7 per ticket unlike before where a $1 ticket would cost $10 by the time you check out).
Yup, Ducks played the CBA perfectly. They knew a lot of teams would be hamstrung with the cap going lower and they put themselves in a posisition to re-sign Getzy and Perry and still have cap room while still remaining a competative team. Kudos to Bob Murray and the Samueli's.
Great game last night, unfortunately couldn't be there in person because work got in the way. Looks like I'll be getting to John Wayne early on Wednesday so I can watch the game at the Ducks bar before my flight to Vegas for the madness! Great times right now for so cal hockey...if we can meet the Kings in the playoffs that series will be ****ing nuts!
