So I actually managed to avoid knowing the score of the game while I was at a wedding rehearsal dinner.  Turned off my phone a bit too late as I got a text that said "48 seconds in, really?"  I knew that wasn't a good sign.  Anywho, I get home around 10 and put the game on.  Needless to say that first period sucked complete ass, hate being down 2-0 despite out shooting them.  Then after giving up that 3rd goal, the Ducks finally decided to show up and play some hockey.  The third period was one of the most exciting periods of hockey I have watched.  I wish I could've been at the Ponda for that as it sounded as loud as its ever been when Bobby tied the game.  As I'm fast forwarding through the intermission after regulation I'm thinking to myself, "If we can kill off this power play to start overtime, I need to figure out how to tell if the game is still going on because I wanna drive up there if its still going."  Sure enough the Wings dashed by hopes to start the OT period. 

It was really great to see the Ducks not give up despite being down 3 goals in the third.  I have great confidence that we will take 2 in Detroit and comeback home to finish them off in game 5. 

Yeah, early match ups were boring yesterday.  Glad Van vs. SJ saved the hockey evening.  

I really hope they go something like 18-11 and make me feel a hell of a lot better about this season going into June.

I have seasons

So much fun last night!  Wish I was able to make the pregame at Tilted Kilt but couldn't get out of work in time.  Best part of the game was anytime Wings fans tried to get a chant going we were able to drown them out!  Way to show up Ducks fans! I'm pissed I have to miss game 2 for a rehearsal dinner...hopefully the only game I will miss these playoffs!  Can't wait to be back in Anaheim next Wednesday (if necessary).

I really don't want to see Detroit either.  I am very confident against Minn, Columbus, or San Jose should we face any of them.  I'd like to see Detroit get the 8th seed and play Chicago the 1st round.  Chicago has kicked the shit out of Detroit this year, should be fun to watch.

Yeah, I live about 10-15 min from there, great place to see a concert.  I'm gonna be pissed when they tear it down.  I usually go to at least 3 shows a summer there.  Definitely beats going all the way up to LA and dealing with traffic.

From what I have read Live Nation has a land lease for Verizon in Irvine until 2017 so we should have a few more years of concerts there.

They have talked about shutting down the Irvine venue for years...are there actually plans set or is it still speculation?

Anyone going to game 1? Just picked up tickets on the ticketexchange. Get a pregame going!

I'm definitely going to game 1!  Haven't been to tilted kilt in Anaheim yet, is it an easy walk from there to Honda Center?

My best guess is game 1 will be Tues April 30th as there is a Killers concert Wednesday May 1st at Honda Center.  Games should be at either 7 or 730, I cant see them being earlier for round 1.  Looks like there are around 100 or so $27 dollar seats left on ticketmaster for game 1.  I really hope they make game 2 Friday night instead of Thursday night cuz that would definitely pack the house and make for some rowdy fans!

I really thought Conant was going to go home 1st after missing the red onion in the 1st round.  Was glad to see that he was used to the time crunch by the 2nd round and glad that we won it all!

First period was a bit rocky but after that they were much better.  Still saw some lazy plays in the defensive zone that lead to turnovers.  I think getting Sbisa back will help, I feel like Souray has played very poorly lately.  He wasn't in last nights game and the D looked much better.

Man, we really need to get off to better starts...that could comeback to haunt us big time in the playoffs.  Glad to hear we turned it around after the 1st though.

Hopefully we can clinch the Pacific tonight...didn't get a chance to watch the game yesterday, did we look better than we have been playing for the past 3 or 4 weeks with Bonino back?

Staples had a playoff like atmosphere last night after their goal was disallowed and the Stars scored like 10 seconds after that.  Very fun game!

Its a good thing we have 2 solid goalies with the injury problems they have had this year!

These are $20 season seats, gotta charge $20 per ticket here.

Fun game to be at last night, ending obviously sucked but at least we got a point.  We have about 10-12 days to get back to the team that dominated in Jan/Feb.  Hopefully Bonino will be back soon and get a few games under his belt for the playoffs.  Lombardi has not impressed me and I hope he is the one who is scratched for Bones.
