  1. I watch and go winning or losing. My life or fandom doesn't hinge on them winning. Of course I prefer winning to losing but I love baseball and enjoy watching no matter what. Heck, I'll go to a baseball game even when I don't really care about either team and enjoy the game, be it high school, college or pros.

It's disappointing that the Angels aren't doing better no doubt, but I won't stop watching when they're struggling.

Wow really you go to high school games? Hmm...don't know if that's kind of odd or not, especially if you don't have a son playing in the game.

  2. You guys are as full of shit as a Christmas goose.  This team will get on another hot streak - right up the ASB and start to make a run.

You will all be back - b1tching and cheering.

No I am good. You won't see me bitching. I will take it for what this season is a lost season. Spin it how ever you want Bruce... Pujols is injured... maybe he is but playing like this for 2 years and 8 more is awful. Prob will go down as worst contract ever in baseball. But this year is done, I have felt this way for a month plus now its really sad. I am usually so excited for baseball season but its really just been a giant bland ehhh since the first month. I don't know if it's because the Angels are terrible this year or if it's just that I am more busy and other things are taking up more of my time but ya Go Angels but ehh if they win or lose.

  3. It's mindboggling how some of you would be ok with 4 years of rebuilding. Wow!

Why? This team is not a player or two away. We are an overhaul away from being back on top of this division. Texas and even Oakland are the teams to beat in this division. We are a distant 3rd. With a terrible bullpen, bland starting rotation and a line up filled with age and decline in its future.

  4. Doesn't mean I am not a fan I still am a fan. Just really doesn't do anything to me if they win lose or draw right now. I have felt this way for the last month. Even when I am at the game I am much more just their to watch baseball and hope for a fun game then get super pumped or really bummed when something good or bad happened. Totally different then the last couple years.

  5. If I watch on TV it is usually one or two innings and then I am done.  I usually go to at least 5 games a year but this year the only one I will go to is the AW Fan fest.  No reason to spend money to see this team play.

Ya def. The only time I see them on TV is if I am at my folks house, at a friends house, or at a bar I got rid of cable a couple years ago just was never home to see anything live.

  6. Fire sale. Trade everyone you can who has any value. CJ, Weav, Vargas, Hanson. If anyone will take on Pujols or Hamiltoe I doubt it. I love Aybar and Kendrick but if your going all out fire sale might as well trade those two and Iannetta while you can. Keep Trout Bourjos and Trumbo as the center pieces for years to come and lets build this team again for the future.

  7. I am an Angels fan and have been since I can remember. I have season tickets behind the Angels batters box and I won't stop going to games because hey I paid for my tickets and its fun to do something at nights and watch baseball. But as far as this year goes. I am done being upset about losses and getting excited about wins. This team shows no real emotion and Hamiltoe and Pujols are just mirages of their former selves. They don't look like they even care. So I am done feeling upset by the Angels for the remainder of the year. I wonder if anyone else feels this way watching this team this year.

  8. I trust Dipoto's ability to pick pitching prospects.

So now instead of trading Bourjos for starting pitching that could help the club today. You are trading one of the best CF in the game for pitchers in A and AA who might be able to help this team in 2 or 3 years? LOL ok....I thought you didn't work in hypotheticals?

  9. I think you may be looking for sneaky_flute, kevin. I don't swing that way.

Funny how you called someone fat and don't have a picture of yourself. Pot kettle

  10. I said his two tools make him great. And that what he brings to the table isn't a necessity for this Angels team but it can't be for another ball club. Reading is fundamental.

Our team needs all the defense it can take. His arm is way better suited for center than Johnny Damon I mean Mike Trouts arm. Trumbo is our first baseman and Pujols can't play the field. Conger is fine as a catcher Hester blows as a catcher. Way to make the team worse in your trading standards. I really like the hypothetical of you trading Bourjos for a front line pitcher. Which front of the line pitcher could we trade straight up for Pete?

  11. He isn't a good fit for this team. Defense is where his two tools make him great. Give me a pitcher. Read preceding post.

So in your evaluation. He isn't a good player but trading him we would have gotten a good starting pitcher? Love the irony. Bourjos for Matt Cain right?

  12. An OF with Trumbo in LF, Trout in CF, and Hamilton in RF allows the Angels to put Conger and Pujols at 1B/DH.  Bring up Hester, send down Cousins. We would have been fine without Bourjos.

I thought you didn't play hypotheticals?

  13. I can't wait to hear from all you Trumboner strokers in August when he's in the middle of a 3-45 slump with 1 walk and 27 Ks.

Trade Trumbo for some single A wanna be prospects can't wait for that to happen. You should be GM. Let's sign some more 32 year old declining vets.

  14. Albert was done before his contract was even signed. He will never be what we payed him to be not even close. He will be between a 250 and 290 hitter here. His max home runs was last year with us. Going to go down as probably the worst contract ever given out to any player in baseball. At least with A Rod he still at least used the juice to produce. Pujols doesn't anymore and clearly you are seeing the effects of breaking down old age and donezo.

  15. I disagree.  By dealing the tradeable assets (Trumbo, Bourjos, Kendrick, etc) they can start re-stocking the farm system and speed up the overall rebuilding process.  Holding on to those guys just in the hopes of being mediocre for the next few years is silly.

You don't trade young guys for young guys who might turn out as good as Trumbo Bourjos and Kendrick. You trade older guys to get younger guys.

  16. Trout:  I am really concerned that hey had his "Erstad" year last year and we are not going to get any better than a 290 hitter.  He will do better than what he is doing, but will he be one of the best players in the game this year?  I am now starting to have my doubts.

Pujols:  I am really worried because that injury is not getting better over night.  Too bad really because he started off hitting well.

Hamilton:  Not worried yet.  He is a streak hitter.  He goes through period of sucking like he is now, and he goes through period as the reincarnation of Babe Ruth.  I am willing to bet his numbers in September will be close to his norms.

Erstad was on something on his Erstad year.

  17. 2 on Trout, he will be fine. Once he gets back in the number one spot and gets back to how he was playing last year and not trying to hit home runs.

6 on Hamilton he looks bad but he can't be this bad all year

10 on Pujols. Worst contract in baseball. Two years of injury in his first two years with the Angels only going to get worse. This is going to be a long 8 more years. Fielder to this board was fat and was gonna age horrible. Pujols looks fat and looks like a 90 year old walking to the plate.

  18. Remember Pujols' comment that he'd retire and leave the back end of the contract on the table if he's unable to perform at a competitve level? One theory is that Moreno has an ace in the hole in terms of evidence about Pujols' age that he could use to void the contract. Per this theory Pujols' "retirement" is actually a mutually agreed upon way for both Moreno and Pujols to save face.

The day any mlb player or any athlete leaves millions of dollars in already signed money on the table will be the first

  19. i had always been curious but had never seriously pursued it. this wasn't planned either. i met this girl at a mutual friend's shop and we got to know each other.

That sounds totally opposite of what you said earlier in this thread about the friend saying he was a transgendered dude. Remember get your story straight through out your post and it would sound more believable

  20. Like I said earlier, if you had followed Harper as he ascended to the Majors, you'd understand completely why people call him a douche. I don't need to know him to know he's a douche perso. I'm not making things up in my head. Grow up? Uh OK.

By the way, I do watch and enjoy his play on the field.

Grow up and stop worrying which professional athletes are douches or not. Kind of lame if you ask me. But hey go right ahead and get your panties in a bunch.
