Senor Piva got a reaction from ten ocho recon scout in When did you become an Angels fan? Were you an Angels fan before, during or after the 2002 season?
Before.  From back in the 70's, when the Angels treated the Twins like their AAA team (Bostock, Blyleven, Carew), and all my family were Twins fans.  Skipped the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.  Got interested again when I was stationed outside St Louis, as Edmonds, Eckstein and Percival got my interest, and of course when Albert signed with y'all.  Currently in Honduras, going to be stationed at Little Rock next year, so if you have questions about the Travelers, I plan on going to a lot of games.

Must be hard for STL having to use 2 pitchers spot.

Could see Lynn, maybe Salas, Freeman and Jackson for Aybar and Bourjos.  Gives Angels pitching and a spare SS plus salary relief from Aybar.  Gives the Cards something better than Kozma and Jay

long time lurker.  First (and only) Angels game was in 1977, upper deck of the third base line, vs. the Yankees.  Paul Hartzell started, was disappointed, as I wanted to see Nolan Ryan.  Grew up in the mid-west, so didn't like how the Angels got Lymon Bostock, Bert Blyleven, Rod Carew.  However, Bobby Grich was one of my favorite players, along with Doug DeCinces (grandpa was an Orioles fan), and of course, Nolan.

Became a Cardinal fan when stationed outside StL (they'd let you in free with a military ID, and allow you to bring in soft sided coolers with drinks in plastic bottles).  Ride the train in, and you are talking $20 total for a MLB game.  Edmonds, Spiezio, Eckstein, Percival, Glaus.

Wish to see the Angels be competitive year in and year out, my favorite AL team.

If Scioscia gets fired, it won't be a "knee jerk" decision. The FO will likely have (at least) one or two replacements they would be interested in. This is assuming he doesn't get fired mid-season, which I don't think will happen.

As for the whole "experience" thing, that is grossly overstated by some here. The Yankees had no problem hiring Joe Girardi as their replacement for Joe Torre, who had 1 year of managerial experience. What about the Cardinals? Mike Matheny was an advisor in the organization for a while, but had ZERO managerial experience at the big league level. The White Sox? Robin Ventura almost won MOY in his first year as the manager. There are more. The fact is that it doesn't take experience and "qualifications" to automatically succeed at being a manager of a new team.
