He won't retire and giveaway 72 million. He will say he is physically unable to perform Inaurance will pay half and Texas saves 36 million which is great for Texas

Yeah
Yeah, baby. Did Machado get any good blows in?
He man-handled Ventura like a rag-doll. Once they were separated and 20 ft apart Ventura tried to act like he wanted to be allowed free to fight Machado

1st place considering I am a Rangers fan

Rangers put Seattle in their place

Yes. Leonys Martin hasn't produced. Same with Dae Ho Lee. Same with Nate Karns. Same with Nick Vincent. Same with Steve Cishek. Joaquin Benoit was on the DL a bit but is back and will likely perform (K'ed the 3 batters he faced last night).
Adam Lind SHOULD produce given his track record, but you are correct he really hasn't. Nori Aoki also hasn't lived up to his ability yet (and maybe won't).
And Wade Miley has been poop. I agree.
Mariner success is not driven only by Cano, Cruz and Seager .... but keep telling yourself Dipoto did nothing but trade Trumbo for nothing.
He also ACQUIRED Leonys for nothing (Tom Wilhelmsen, James Jones and Patrick Kivlehan (who is back with the Mariners)). He acquired Nick Vincent for a PTBNL. Signed Dae-Ho Lee for Peanuts.
This is an effort in futility though as I expect nothing from an Angels fan forum speaking on topic about the Mariners and their former GM.
Pump the breaks on Leonys Martin. Seattle fans act like 5 weeks guarantees that this guy is a 35 HR .800 ops guy. Yes he is a good defender but that bat will regress hard. Also Seattle has hit so well that the crap pitching is getting covered up. Not everybody on that teams lineup will have career years

Was Mazara that highly touted? Never heard much about him before 2016.
Be nice if Moreno would ever sign someone with ANY talent out of Latin America!!!!
He received the highest ever signing bonus of 4.95 million at the age of 16 out of the DR in 2011. He was actually Texas' #3 rated prospect behind Lewis Brinson and Joey Gallo

I'm sure Rangers fans are enjoying this after a rough season. Watching Hamilton and CJ sabotage the Angels postseason hopes
YEah its cool. At least texas gets a top 5 draft pick while LAA might end up getting aswept after having the best record in baseball in the regular season...
-
No suprise CJ Wilson sucked. Dude begged out of pitching Game 7 of the World Series in 2011 while with the Rangers
-
Funny that with all the injuries that Texas is only 2.5 games behind the Angels...
-
Perez looks very impressive. If Harrison comes back and returns to his fomer form the Rangers could have an extremely strong playoff rotation (Darvish, Perez, Harrison).
Once the Rangres get more of their players back I'd say there's a decent chance they could run away with the division.
I think Angels could win 87-90 this year. i think its a 3 team race in the AL West. Texas also should get Derek "The idiot" Holland back in late May to Early June
-
Rangers up 3-0 in the Bottom of the 6th with half the lineup on the DL or out. If the lead holds Texas sweeps the annoying A's..Also Martin Perez has a 22 inning shutout streak going...

He'd be a salary dump. If we're helping them out then we need them to pay more than $10 mil and take whoever we give. If they don't like it then they can enjoy his services for the next few years.
Ruben Amaro does not do salary dumps. he would want elite prospects and would not want to pick up any of Lee's salary... i thought everyone knew this...

Rangers heating up...

Because those so called experts are stupid.
The rangers went the same route as the 13 angels, focus on offense and filled the pitching staff with inexperience/damaged goods/rejects, I guess they didn't learn anything from the 13 angels.
The rangers would be lucky to win 85 games this year.
Not sure bout that. Darvish wont miss another start and Harrison will likely be back in 2 weeks. holland likely returns in late May. So injuries will decide whether this is a good team or not...
-
Wonder if those Rangers fans who insisted Kinsler wasn't a douche still feel the same way.
Nobody said he was not a jerk. Yet he was our jerk. Now is just a jerk
-
I would not mind the Rangers losing their first. Although they would get a comp pick back when Cruz signs somewhere.
They already lost they're 1st rounder

The trick isn't finding the next Bryce Harper. It's finding the next Mike Trout.
Tanaka is the next Bryce Harper. A #1 pick. The value is going to come when you scout the Asian leagues and find the #27 pick.
Tanaka is not the next Bryce Harper. Harper is a superstar. there is no reason to think Tanaka will be that good. he will be paid like one though..

Supply and demand.
ECON 101
Yeah pretty much. How many teachers in the US versus how many people that can pitch as well as Kershaw...
-
There are a few who deserve a large pay day Kershaw is on the list. These contracts however are getting way out of hand.
Based on what? your opinion? If the money was an issue the owners would not be paying it..
-
I thought Hamilton lost weight because of the murderous heat in Texas and thats why he weighted less in Orange County. Oh guess he has to have some tiype of excuse for his crappy season....Whatever
-
Holland is a bit of an idiot. he probably did injure playing hockey.
-
Hamilton wont get pitches to hit until he proves that he will take walks..Even in his MVP year he only walked 6% of the time..
-
Doubt that trout would give up 3 FA years. Maybe 1 so a 125 million for 5 year deal might work, but no way he gives up 3. there are no players i can think of with his numbers that would or have done that...
-
I see LAA bringing back Santana at 6 yrs 100 million. Makes tons of sense...

They are both terrible contracts but 30 mill a year for another 6-7 years is unreal
