Frieri seems like a decent middle reliever. Just not cut-out to save games

Hultzen will be a top (probably 2-3) starter.  He, along with Paxton (who was brilliant this very night) and Taijuan Waler are on the verge of exploding in prospect rankings.  Young kids the M's would rather hold onto, but will trade for the right offensive pieces.  

 

M's have Felix, Iwakuma, and Erasomo Ramirez about to come back.  With any two of Paxton/Hultzen/Walker, they could have one of the most stellar pitching lineups in recent history.  Teams will be dealing for sure.  We'll see if inter-league rivals come into play soon enough. 

You hope. Chances are that only one of those guys will be good. Might be able to deal one for a solid veteran bat...

I would not get too down over these losses. Sometimes poor teams have good teams numbers. last year Texas was basically .500 against Seattle. Its simply a freak streak..

We also gave Texas two top 50 picks by signing CJ and Hamilton. Awesome.

Texas faced him and he looked very good. Struck out about 8 in 5.1 innings. they only let him throw about 80 pitches cause he is so injury-prone...

Wow, Holland put up a sick May. 4-0 in 6 starts. 39 IP 10.15 K/9, 2.08 BB/9 1.6 WAR. Damn.

He is not a FA. He has an option year for 2014. Fa in 2015. Still would be a bad move i think

That would be a stupid trade for the Angels. He's a free agent after this year. The Angels aren't going to the playoffs this year, they would be dumb to make another Zack G. type of trade. 

Shields has an option year at about 14 million. So not a FA till 2015

maybe trade featuring Shields+ for Trumbo as they say KC needs power bats and Angels need pitching..

Texas will wait until September to start falling apart, right on cue. 

 

We need to stay within 10+ games if we expect to take advantage when it happens.

Need to stop losing to Houston 1st. Texas has several injuries right now. i imagine they will get better as the year goes. Their at 35-21 without beltre, Kinsler, Colby lewis, ogando, Soria, Feliz, Harrison right now...

he is hot and playing great and ranger fans are happy for him, but his BABIP is almost .400 and his FB/HR is 30% so extreme regression is coming. Also Mitch Moreland is hitting at a .287/.332/.877 clip... So hitting from that spot has been good
