Escobar is a liability defensively and honestly he hasn't been that great with the bat this season to warrant playing time over Cron. C.J. has been a beast since the mid-way point. Valbuena has been good as well.

Valbuena needs to platoon with Escobar when he's back at 3B. You cannot take Cron out of the lineup and Valbuena has been really good of late.

Good idea. The Angels really have no options at 2B next year if Cowart cannot hit at the major league level. Fletcher may need an entire year in AAA. Fontana is Pennington's replacement IMO.

Since Richards is coming back on Monday, we may not need Verlander. Richards, Heaney, Skaggs, Bridwell and damn, maybe Barria with the way he's pitched this year (Nolasco makes me want to punch a wall). Barria has pitched 10 scoreless innings across two starts in AAA.

40 pitches... It's all about the pitch count. They could go with Richards for 4-5 innings, Petit for 2 and Chavez for 2. NBD.
