That is exactly the problem. They want things their way, they don't care about the rest of the country. If it requires appointing compromised and dishonest people to achieve it thats fine. If they have to dress up like Ben Franklin for a couple years claiming to give a shit about the deficit, ok.

And democrats HAVE protected the constitution, they offered a conservative SC pick, Obama cut taxes for working class people during the recession, and while regulation sucks some has been very effective. It's ok to scrap unnecessary regulations but wanting to take a blow torch to things like environmental protections is insane.

I think this article explains why those numbers are what they are. I agree with the author's opinion on this.

I completely agree. However I see nothing anyone can do to unlatch his supporters. The only person I know who voted for him and then jumped off the train is just pissed about his taxes going up and the loss of a loophole he used to defer income. Every other friend/family member repeats the Fox talking points to a T.

I will always get chuckle from people who go out and practice their gun skills for fun. As a retired LEO I can tell you the worst day of everyones year was qualifying at the range. High School Football experience helped me more than marksmanship ever did when it came to the field. I never fired a round but I was tackling people 5-10 times a year. I gave up my glock a year ofter retiring. I live in Orange County, never fired a shot on or off the job.

I had a close call on Lake Mohave a few years ago. 3 boats sank trying to get back to shore. Sold the boat a couple years later, still keep an eye on the clouds whenever I am on a boat.

I don't disagree with this thread. We can and should make transportation safer. It's a leading cause of death in the US and it should be talked about alongside gun control.
