I became an Angels fan that day. Growing up in Connecticut 45 min. away from Yankees stadium I was a Yankee fan up until that day(Reggie my childhood hero). I was 12 then and him being traded made me change teams. Now 32 years later, thank God he got traded and saved me from being a Yankee fan!!! On another note I work in New York and all the Yankee fans were not very happy about spending $175 million on Tanaka.

I guess I am the eternal optimist. A bunch of secondary players along with a few starters have won 8 out of the last 9 games. I honestly think with our core healthy and a few upgrades in the pitching department that we can be contenders next year. Sorry for being optimistic, but I think that we can bounce back next year.

Thank you to everyone at fan fest for being so hospitable. It was nice to be surrounded by passionate Angels fans and was a highlight of my trip to the west coast. I also had a good time talking beer with gotbeer and Cory. I was ticked off that we had to leave early and saw the walk-off home run on my cell phone right before take-off. Once again Thank You for letting us attend.

I am constantly amazed by the ignorance of people. Especially in regards to any kind of disability.

Norwalk, CT. In the middle of Yankee and Red Sox territory. Visiting this site is like a haven.

This gets my vote, even though it makes me laugh. Not sure how it got 8.5 million views.

I've posted very little, but have been lurking on this website for years. I became an Angels fan in 1982 when Reggie Jackson came to the Angels (I was born in CT and currently live there and unfortunately was a Yankee fan for the first 11 years of my life). Regardless of where the Angels are in the standing they are the team I love and try to watch every game. I have only been able to visit Angels stadium in 1988, but fortunately am coming back to watch a series in a few weeks. I see that this coincides with the Fanfest and hopefully you guys would welcome a seldom poster and long time lurker to the fanfest on the 17th. I will actually be at the Angels game at Yankee stadium on the 12th and at Angels stadium on the 16th,17th and 18th.

Thank you, for a voice of reason. A good team is supposed to win 2-1 at home. This team has plenty to build on and I am confident that things will continue to improve....

I remember for a number of years during our playoff runs that if our starters could give us 6 decent innings, it was basically lights out for the 7,8 and 9th(Shields, Rodriguez). I'm hoping with the recent trades that at least for the next couple of year the team will be back to this kind of play.
