Pretty much what I’m saying to others moaning about the bats and runners left in scoring position. We had some good swings. Can’t complain about Trouts at bat there.
All you can expect from a batter is a good at bat. Other than that can’t shift blame or get pissed at anyone. Wasn’t the weak bitch hits that beat us, it was the horrid pitching choices and the dumb intentional walk.
Bad games where you’re losing most of the game is one thing. Doing good for 8 innings and blowing a 2 run lead to lose in the 9th is a stinger still and should be won.
Just bad pitching choices which gave up the lead. Angels hit the ball well tonight, just good defensive and luck on where the ball went. Hopefully they can fix their bullpen soon enough.
Because the energy from the fans are crap in So Cal just how Josh Hamilton and others commented about it over the decades I’ve been going there. Just the same as having more Yankees fans there and hearing them cheer more. We’re just too laid back after work in Cali and players notice.
Are we allowed to curse on these forums? He needs to be taken down to minors then career ending there if he can’t improve. I knew he was going to be a useless bat the second time coming up with bases loaded and no one out. Should’ve just pinch hit and hurt his feelings. Get the point across.
Calhoun is dumb and should be embarrassed with how teams are shifting against him and he hits right into it. Next team should have their 3rd baseman play 2nd and other two totally bunched in between him and then 1B just to embarrass him more. I thought major leaguers had talent to hit where they want?
A lot of baseball left to be played, and I’m sure they’re going to learn from this experience. I think their heads were floating in the clouds after how well they did against other teams.
Angels would've had won 2 out of 3 or sweep against all the teams faced in August if not for the 2 9th inning grand slams. They're doing excellent and just need to polish the closing role.
