  1. At least we scored a run. Maybe we can win the other day. Improvement coming
  2. If they don't consider Nolasco the ace, that means they think they have no ace in their rotation, which I don't think is any better than having Nolasco as an ace. It's not even weird at this point cuz every Angels fans knew their starting pitching will be in huge doubt coming into the season anyways. For Maybin and Revere, I don't think it's a platoon. Platoon works when right handed batter starts against lefty, and left handed batter starts against righty, when both players have noticably better record against opposing hand pitchers. For the Angels so far, I thought Maybin won the LF spot cuz he just started all games at the beginning of the season, even against right handed pitchers like Graveman, Gallardo, and Felix Hernandez. Then, he started falling apart and his avg dropped to 0.212 and now, Sosh is starting Revere 3 straight games. To me, it seems like he's just giving both some chances and see who gets upper hand, rather than platoon. Well.. Actually, when one is batting 0.212 and the other is batting 0.216, it's pretty meaningless if it is a platoon or whatever. I'm just saying looking at the patterns of Angels games so far, it doesn't look like a platoon to me
  3. He is done. He's been pretty much overpaid junk since 2013 season. He has HRs and RBIs but let's be realistic. He's getting all those HRs sacrificing batting avg, with OBP barely over 0.300, and OPS below 0.800 for 5 consecutive seasons. Sosh never took him out of #4 spot, and we have our 3 best hitters in front of him, and he has somebody that reaches on base by 44% of chance, steals base 30 times, and has wheel to score from 1st or 2nd base on any kind of base hit right in front of him. Literally any Major league level player would have gotten big RBI numbers if he has Yunel Escobar, Kole Calhoun, and Mike Trout in front of him and the manager never takes him out of #4 spot even if he bats like 0.200 for entire month. Pujols has 31 HRs and 119 RBIs for 2016 campaign, but with those big numbers, his OPS is 0.780 and WAR is 0.00. That pretty much sums up. His big numbers for HRs and RBIs don't mean anything at this point. He's just hurting this team.
  4. My bad. Wilson's contract is off the books now. But clearly, they gave Nolasco the ace role, starting the opening game and now G-Rich is out for uncertain amount of time. Because he isn't pitching like one (apparently he won't) doesn't mean the team didn't give him the ace role. He is the #1 starter of this rotation. And Cameron Maybin played in 9 games and has 33 at bats, while Ben Revere played in 8 games and has 23 at bats. Although I think Maybin will be the starting LF in the long run, I think it's hard to say who's gonna be our LF for the season. Seems like they are still testing both
  5. Too much salary wasted on Pujols, Hamilton, and Wilson. Seems like $9M going to Street is going to be waste this year too. There goes around $80M dollars to trashcan. That's why we have been just picking up those midgets that other teams don't wanna sign on the market. Can't expect to have a good team until those burdens go away
  6. Probably. But I've been not too big fan of what he's doing for past couple of years
  7. Very unfortunate for the Halos that they are keep facing the best pitchers of the league every day
  8. On Friday, I thought Duffy will be strong CYA candidate this season, then I thought Nate Karns might make it to All Star this year. Then Yesterday, I felt like Ian Kennedy is American League's Clayton Kershaw. Today, i think Charlie Morton will be an All Star and Devenski guy will be the reliever of the year this season
  9. get more guys on base. I wanna see new Team LOB record tonight
  10. 2 more left on base. Still 0 runs scored. This offense is making everyone looking like Kershaw on opposing teams lol
  11. 3rd error by Astros. They are trying to help the Angels offense on their side. But our bats trying their best to blow those chances
  12. It says 42 innings by Astros in 1985. Holy crap. 4 full games + 6 more innings without scoring a single run. Damn
  13. I know Yunel Escobar has problem with his throwing arm but he spent 8 seasons in Majors as Short Stop. Just 1 season as 3rd baseman before joining the Angels. He has never been a speedster who's gonna be the lead off of the team. We are just putting him in the 3rd base cuz we have good SS but no 3rd baseman at all. We are just putting him in the lead off spot cuz despite of his speed issue, he can at least hit the ball while everyone else in the lineup (except for Calhoun and Trout) don't know how to hit above 0.250. He's playing in very uncomfortable spot because of the team's needs and he's been one of the best hitters of the team. Probably 2nd best behind Mike Trout in 2016. He's fine. If we can put him behind the clean up guys, like in 6th spot, he will be really quality batter who can help the team's offense massively. It's just our #4 and 5 hitters are awful as F so we can't even say we have actual clean up hitters.
  14. Everyone waiting for Luis Valbuena to come back shows how horrible this team's lineup is. This guy avgs around 0.230 for 9 year career, hit 0.260 with 13 HRs last season. This guy belongs to the bench, not starting lineup. Yet, I see a lot of guys talking about how getting Valbuena back in the lineup will help us. That simply shows how bad this team is
  15. Yup. That 6-2 start was kind of unreal. This team is wasting like $70M on bunch of craps like Pujols, Hamilton, and Wilson, Ricky Nolasco is the ace of this pitching staff, they are not even sure who's gonna be the starting LF for the season.
  16. 4 hits, a walk, a stolen base, and 2 errors by opponent in 3 innings. Yet, this team can't score a run
  17. Kole has been ice cold for past few games. I think it was more than 10 ABs ago when I saw Kole getting a hit for the last time. Get him a day off or something to rest. For past few seasons, he's been starting season red hot and eventually cools down and struggles big time in the second half of the season and his avg drops to somewhere around 260 at the end of the season. I think starting in RF for whole season with no 4th outfielder (well we didnt even have legit 3rd outfielder for years) is very tiring for him
  18. If we can't get the catcher who provides both offense and defense, at least keep Maldo. He frames pitches pretty well, blocks well, and has strong arm as well. Carlos Perez can't hit, frames pitches like a high school catcher, and sucks at D. He has fine arm but not worth keeping in Major League level.
  19. so 5 Angels get on base and nobody scores, and the first Astro that gets on base scores on base hit. What is life
