  1. Seems like every event I have attended at the Coliseum involved parking in someone's front yard.
  2. Beautiful Spring day in SW Idaho.
  3. Ohtani just gets so much more attention now that he's a Dodger. Even his New Balance commercial has "Hollywood Swinging" playing in the background. Now they're making a scripted show about him.
  4. Players in the Angels organization run the risk of being called up before they're ready. Comes with the territory.
  5. Ippei will go to one of those country club federal prisons. Unlikely to see any homies there.
  6. My first Angels game came around 1972 when one of the neighbors piled a bunch of kids into his 1963 Biscayne wagon: It was kind of a major road trip to get down to Anaheim Stadium from the Valley back in those days.
  7. My dad wasn't a big sports fan so it was rare that he took us to ballgames when we were kids. We didn't go to many games when we were really young. We (my brother and I) had to drag my dad to the games when we got old enough to be fans. Yes, we were Dodgers fans because we grew up in L.A. I remember going to a Dodgers game, I was maybe 7 years old. This would have been in 1967. My grandparents were in town so my dad got tickets for the guys. My brother was younger so he would have been 6. My dad was probably trying to show off how great a dad he was by taking us all to the ballgame. We had tickets between home plate and 1st base, under the overhanging seats of the section above us. The overhang made the crowd noise extra loud when there was a base hit by the Dodgers. The thing I remember most is my grandfather didn't like the noise.
  8. Seems like the issues addressed in the bill would be better worked out between unions and retailers.
  9. https://www.mlb.com/angels/news/angels-injuries-and-roster-moves May 7: INF Luis Rengifo expected to return during next homestand Manager Ron Washington said on Tuesday that Rengifo's blisters from the illness he is dealing with are looking much better, but he's still dealing with some irritation in his feet with those symptoms given the friction from moving around. "He'll probably be ready to go by the time we get home," Washington said. "He was in a better mood today and his blisters looked better today." Rengifo was expected to return initially on Monday, but he was scratched from the lineup, and Brandon Drury replaced him at second base. Tuesday's game marks the fourth straight that he has missed due to illness.
  10. You can listen to the games on the internet: https://www.am830.net/
  11. Amazing it can go 15 billion miles without running into something.
