From the turn around he made last season. At AAA he hit .323/.395/.491/.886 overall. away games at AAA he hit .340/.407/.519/.926. When he came up from AAA he got limited playing time but from his first hit in his fifth game until Freese returned he hit over .300. I don't expect anyone to agree with me yet, but this kid was highly scouting and has only had 2 bad seasons in his life and they were in AA where with brilliasnt hitting instructions, they tried to remake his swing. Last season with A ball the hitting instructor and Kaleb spent countless hours watching videos from when he was hitting well, and more countless hours in the cages working on getting back to where he was. The results speak for themselves. True it was in AAA but he did it there. Doing well in AAA is better than doing poorly. He needs to get regular playing time to build his confidense and get his timing down or all bets are off. As far as defense goes he is the second infielder on the team next to Simmons.

When Cowart hit AAA last season he stole the 3rd base job away from Kubitza. Kubitza ended playing in the outfield while Cowart took over 3B. Again when Kubitza was given a shot at 3B when Freese went on the DL it was Cowart that sent him back to AAA and Kaleb took over at 3B. I am the guy that is going out on a limb and suggesting (if given a real chance, everyday starting for 45+ games) he will hit .280+/.350/.500 with an OPS+ 120

The 9 games from Cowart first ML hit until Freese came back Cowart hit .301. A small sample size for sure but it's something.

So far it's us two, I saw sugarmonkey on the Dodgers board. That was wierd the way that place shut down. I was in the middle of a post and Wham it was gone.

Cowart will have a great season if given a chance. He is a gold glove caliber fielder and found his swing last year after the coaches in AA tried to fix it and destroyed it instead. He fixed it last season with the help of his single A coach and he will be fine going forward.

So the Angels board no longer exists?
