    It is desperate, with the numerous injuries and being forced to play players that don't belong in a MLB roster like Cabbage, out of position, I don't blame Perry for making this deal. While I may disagree with the players they got, they do belong in the majors.

    Very well put. At the same time, Cron and Grichuck are MLB quality batters, which is better than having AAA guys like Cabbage getting the at-bats.

    Things can change rapidly. Day/stock/commodities traders do this sorta thing all the time. Buying and selling depending on environmental changes is not a new thing.

    Even so, his FIP isn't exactly great in comparison to his ERA. He's getting lucky getting his outs based on the batted ball data.

    116 ERA+ Is literally the definition of above average. 16 percent above league average. His FIP is 4.46, meaning his current ERA is benefiting from good defense and good BABIP luck which is .279; where .300 is about the average. He has issues with the long ball giving up 1.5/9. Yes, decent starters that take the ball every 5th day are hard to come by, but I'm not a fan of giving up prospects for rentals.

    Highly doubtful he plays in said new playoff contending team. I'm sure he wants to play, but he gets paid no matter what, so he may be open to being traded elsewhere and not play. He's doing that right now.

    If Ohtani is traded, Angels should look to include Anderson in any trade package to get away from that contract. Rendon would be ideal, but he has a NTC.

    I agree with you, this draft is full of safe picks. Sure some of them will make the majors, but the ceiling isn't very high.

    I would play Moniak over Renfroe currently. Moniak is still playing well, while Renfroe has been pretty meh.

    What a crazy game. I was with my g/f. Check the score 2-0 heading into the 3rd as we were leaving for dinner. I check the score after finishing eating, 15-0! And then they proceeded to score 10 more runs! Unreal that I missed all of this.
