  1. I'll bet he would give that a serious thought if lets say a certain managerial position opened up near his home.
  2. And not far away from the TroutFarm is the TroutField, seperated only by the Bullpens. Sounds messy to me.
  3. haha, I hear ya. But at least he has a plan
  4. By all outward appearances, the Angels run an exceptional organization. However, there is no way to stop something like this from happening again, humans being humans and all. A training program, if not already in place would go a long way in steering clear of such incidences in the future.
  5. Yes, he has, and for the most part, I get it. Yes, games in April are as important as they are in May and June, but I also get the mindset of figuring out what you have to work with in the beginning, at the same time, not blowing out arms in April. However, the balance between the two has somehow eluded Mike.
  6. First, dull, and dry does not tell us anything about his effectiveness as a manager. Second, you have no idea as to his complacency. You are labeling a man you do not know. Predictable; you have some room for criticism there.
  7. This game was on the line in the 7th, as we will see many games won or lost in the 7th this season. You fight with everything you have until you can no longer fight anymore. It is perfectly acceptable to scratch and fight offensively for one run in the 7th or 8th inning of a game we are losing. Then why is it not as acceptable to scratch and fight to save a run defensively in the 7th or 8th inning of a game we are leading by one run? The mindset of only closing a game in the ninth has to change a bit, IMHO. fwiw, I don't mind Scioscia micromanaging, I just hope he does a better job with reading his pitchers and who they’re matched up with as we go forward.
  8. I completely agree with these statements and have no problem with Scioscia's people skills (whatever they may be). I do believe Mike and or Butcher are not the best in game tacticians, as it pertains to the pitching anyways. I know the buck stops with Mike, but it could be the information getting to Mike is lacking? Whatever IT is, IT needs to be dealt with.
  9. Actually, his management of the first game of the season was horrible, we were quite fortunate to get that win.
  10. This. Anything short of firing this guy would'nt suffice. Also, an immediate need for training on the part of the other ushers would be in order. I hope the Angels handle this properly.
  11. Introduced in 1966. Became a real fan in 1970, bike riding distance and all, and have been one ever since.
  12. OMG, this is going to be a very long/short day for Blanton
  13. I suspect it has more to do with sticking to a plan
  14. What is everyone talking about, Aybar hardly ever attempts a bunt
  15. The one area we're most worried about was our savior, go figure
  16. Hell YEAH, on a strike out by our closer no doubt
