  1. The CO law is actually going to make things interesting.  Not just in baseball, but in all sports that currently have pot on their banned substance list.

If it's legal to drink a beer and smoke pot in a state, how/why do you have that on your banned substance list?

Pretty simple, your employer can still fire you for taking a legal substance. If you came into work doped up on legal pills and it affected your job, you can get fired. Same thing with legal pot, if the employer doesn't want it around, it doesn't matter that it is legal.

  2. You never know how the lottery can turn out.

Lakers could easily steal their way into a 4th or 5th overall pick.

Just make sure that Mitch Kupchak tells Jimmy Bob Buss to shut up when suggesting who to draft.

Jimmy Bob thought that Bynum would be an All-Star.

Bynum was an All-Star and a damn good player when healthy. He also dragged a busted leg up and down the court for the Lakers in the 2010 finals. It's easy to talk trash on Jim Buss but Bynum is not the guy to talk about.

  3. Romans 1

    He paraphrased a bit,

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

He obviously added the part about the 250 years after quoting the scripture.

Do you think that people who are gay deserve to die like Scripture says? That they are full of murder and deceit and malice?

  4. He is quoting scripture Rob.  New Testament Scripture.

Where does it say in the New Testament even part of this quote? â€œThey’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil. That’s what you have 235 years, roughly, after your forefathers founded the country.”

  5. Take a look at the link.

“Women with women, men with men, they committed indecent acts with one another, and they received in themselves the due penalty for their perversions,” Robertson said. “They’re full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil. That’s what you have 235 years, roughly, after your forefathers founded the country.”

  6. I remember Phredmojo. The dude thought he was god. I'm sorry to hear he died in a car crash though. How did you find out?

I also remember another poster on here passing away in a car accident. His sister was able to post from his account and informed the board. I think he was in Florida or somewhere like that.

I googled the name randomly one day and saw a few links. I guess he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. I remember that on the ESPN board, I think the poster name was Pincushion Boy.

  7. The move over to the Seattle board in the ESPN days was classic, I remember participating in that. The Seattle fan who was a prick and had mod powers, Phredmojo, anybody remember him? I found out the dude died in a car accident a couple of years ago, pretty sad.
