  1. No worries. The regions' 'other' team is playing at 4pm today. Cal State Fullerton Titans (No. 5 seed) take on UCLA in game 1 of the Fullerton Super Regional on ESPN 2.
  2. Hope you guys enjoy. My mom taught me how to score the game years ago. I'd been looking for the perfect score card lately but none of them quite hit the spot for me, so I ended up making my own. Eventually I hope to have custom sheets for each park available soon via the url at the top of the sheet. There's already a custom Doghair sheet and I promised Chuck a custom Safeco sheet next . . . Hit me if you have a park in mind and I'll give it priority. Feedback is welcome, but keep in mind these are designed for 'casual' scoring. For anyone who's interested, here's a demo of how I score the game. From May 2, 2012: http://louspirito.com/baseball/angels/SC_Weaver_NoNo.pdf
  3. You gotta be kidding me! Now they want blood for tickets? Besides, I'm a couple quarts low after this last homestand . . . Seriously, this is a great way to serve the community. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. Or it could be the players simply are not listening or executing. I don't blame the coaching. For example, someone has obviously gotten through to Trumbo. Last year he would hack at anything low and away. This year he's being much more patient and putting the ball in play. All the players need to do is look at what Trumbo has been doing lately. When the team starts learning from each other they will truly be a team. Until then, I suspect we'll see more of the same.
  5. I'm with gurn67. Anyone who was around for the 1980 season has been tempered the agony of watching that team implode like no other. This season is miserable and one of the worst when measured against expectations, but that 1980 season was truly a disaster. One thing I've learned about expectations in baseball is to never expect anything.
  6. I agree. I was impressed with Jimenez' glove when he was with the Halos. His bat was another matter and I hope he's getting quality reps in Salt Lake so we see him again soon. The defense needs to be inspired.
