  1. lol nice first play in LF Grant
  2. Cron hit that ball 3 inches north of his fingers on the bat and still got it over the 3B. When you're hot you're hot.
  3. Green was having a great AB and then he does that.
  4. Damn I thought he had a base hit out of that.
  5. Cron not exactly selective on the breaking balls there. League is gonna figure him out really quick if he doesn't stop that.
  6. wow Beltre just did us a favor
  7. Is my tv on a delay I'm unaware of? EDIT: lol, right on cue
  8. Wow... they really are dropping the hammer on Ibanez early.
  9. Well that's a good first major league AB.
  10. meh, not cool, no matter how bad a guy is doing. Not to mention he'd actually been hitting the last week.
  11. I think having to combine Ibanez and Shuck's OPS to form a single competent player was what pressured him. With Ibanez's huge bounceback last May, I was in favor of giving him a bit more time, but if it's going to be in a platoon with Cron, I'm ok with that too.
  12. I actually had no idea Lucho was crushing like he has been. .949 OPS w/ 7 HR. The glove has never been in doubt, maybe he's finally turned the corner with the bat?
  13. Not sure how excited I am about Howie moving back to cleanup since he was doing pretty well at leadoff, but this is one young lineup with all 3 callups in there, so I can see options being limited (maybe Iannetta?). Cowgill has been getting on base though so I think he'll be fine there.
  14. Who's getting bumped from the 40-man?
  15. I can't recall seeing a speed differential that big on a changeup since Eric Gagne. That plus his solid command is worth getting excited about.
  16. If Albert goes 40/120 this year, I wouldn't put it past the voters to give him strong consideration given his legacy and the fact he'd be only the 2nd guy to win an MVP in both leagues. Then again, would any of us be mad if Trout finished 2nd again to a guy on his own team?
  17. Nevermind the majority of the Irvine Asian population is Chinese and Korean.
  18. Yes, I will take the guy with 19 years of major league experience coming off a year where he also struggled mightily in April but then tore it up in May plus Green who can play more positions than Shuck, over just about anything that has to do with continuing to put a guy whose OPS looks like Erick Aybar's SLG % in the lineup.
  19. What upside? Shuck has no power and poor plate discipline. And I swear if you cite his batting avg last year again I will add a pin to my Mickey Hatcher voodoo doll here.
