    How are we losing this one? 1. Uncompetitive 7-2 blowout 2. Hit into triple play while down 1 run in the 9th with the bases loaded and no outs 3. Ohtani hits 4 HR's, Angels lose 16-13 4. Angels run out of relivers and are forced to use Squid in the 12th inning; he subsequently gives up 6 runs and the Angels lose 9-8

    Obviously not. He was a solid choice as a transition manager when Arte was planning to sell but that's all backfired now.

    You can only go back to the "well the players just need to play well" well in certain instances and only so many times. Lately the managerial decisions have been downright baffling.

    Estevez was put in a position to fail. Would you have him start a game and call him shit if he struggled, or play Ohtani at third base? No, that's on the manager.

    Estevez has a very clearly defined role in our bullpen. I don't think he's pitched in a similar situation all year except once or twice when he needed work. And then to use Barria in the 9th when he had two awful meltdowns against the A's and Marlins is just comical

    It's the decision of a guy who's scared shitless of his own shadow. You have a 7-3 lead, are coming off a huge win last night, and then pull that nonsense with Estevez? For all his scowling and tough guy act he manages like a battered wife.
