  1. Is this after he gave up a game-tying home run to Scioscia in game 4 of the '88 NLCS?
  2. I don't know why the Mets are pushing so hard to get that one impact bat. They literally have two hitters who are above average and whoever they get won't improve their odds much. They need to use some of that pitching depth to overhaul the lineup during the offseason.
  3. The Murphy/Victorino platoon isn't "flashy" but it's probably better than what Cespedes would give you.
  4. If I were the Angels, I'd look into JD Martinez rather than Cespedes
  5. '86 Mets. Was this after their loss in game 2 of the WS?
  6. Jake Marisnick is ****ing terrible. Preller should be fired if he accepts Marisnick for Ross or Kimbrel.
  7. This just in: team with limitless financial resources wastes exorbitant amounts of money on players.
  8. Is this a trick question? Jerry Coleman was a WS champ his first three years with the Yankees before leaving for military service. He returned a few years later.
  9. I figured it was one of those two because they've played in both leagues since the 90s.
  10. Brave fans seem to like what the new GM is doing, but I honestly don't understand what his strategy is. He's made the team worse while making moves that don't really suggest a rebuild is in progress. What was the point of the Markakis contract? Why did he trade Alex Wood for a 30-year-old Cuban player and injured reliever?
  11. I'm actually ok with the trade now that I know Matt Harrison and his dead money are going to the Philies. Jake Thompson is the only prospect I'm sad to see go. Nick Williams and Alfaro aren't gonna do jack shit in the majors.
  12. It really bugs me that the team with the highest payroll in baseball gets competitive balance picks and high international pools.
  13. That pisses me off to no end. I wasn't a big fan of the Choo and Fielder moves but they were understandable given the state of the team before the 2014 season. Trading for Hamels makes no sense. He's expensive as hell and this team has a lot of question marks heading into 2016.
