  1. Don't forget the smokeless tobacco saga. This article is just comedic gold. http://espn.go.com/dallas/mlb/story/_/id/8490251/josh-hamilton-waited-quit-chewing-tobacco
  2. Delete one of these please, not sure how it double posted.
  3. What is your opinion on Monte Kiffin? I am a Cowboys fan and personally I am excited about having a Kiffin/Marinelli combo for a defensive staff next season. However, I figured there was a good amount of people who follow SC on this forum so I would like to hear some opinions on old man Monte.
  4. Y'all want Profar for Trout? We could throw you a bone with Colby Lewis to sweeten the pie.
  5. Yunacy! http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?topic_id=28033182&content_id=26880593
  6. Rangers forums suck. I can't even read lonestarball because the layout is so bad lol.
  7. You act like the Angels are some world class organization of winning. Congratulations on winning one world series. The Rangers have not been a good organization as we had terrible ownership and general managers; but things have changed, and I love our current team.
  8. Just ask yourself this series of questions. How have the Cardinals done since losing Pujols? How have the Angels done since acquiring Pujols? How have the Rangers done since losing Hamilton? How have the Angels done since acquiring Hamilton? See, us butt hurt fans were irritated when one of your best players goes to an opposing team (rival for Ranger fans) but then again we also realize that our respective organizations have a solid foundation of winners in them right now. Cardinals always have while the Rangers recently have. Either way, it's nice to have a farm system that you can rely on so you don't have to hand out bad contracts. Best of luck in salary hell for the next 10 years. The sad thing is, the Angels are supposed to be winning right now, during the good years they have out of Pujols and Hamilton in those contracts. Unfortunately by the time you build up a bullpen or rotation they are going to be breaking down.
  9. Not surprised to see Napoli jacking HR's in Boston. After all, Fenway was designed just for him.
  10. Problem with the Oilers is they have been drafting so high for so long. Now all they have is a bunch of flashy skilled players with no meat or grit. They need some nasty!
  11. And once that happened we started to slide eventually losing the division to Oakland.
  12. Except last season was a career high and the trend has continued. You can deny it all you want but right now you are witnessing what I saw last season, which is Josh striking out at a much higher rate than he used to. He wasn't getting boo's in a Ranger uniform for no reason. Annnnd going back to July... http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-rangers/headlines/20120716-gosselin-every-strikeout-boosts-chances-of-josh-hamilton-re-signing-with-the-rangers.ece http://www.baseballanalytics.org/baseball-analytics-blog/2012/11/9/will-josh-hamilton-also-whiff-in-free-agency.html The good news is he can fix it if he decides to quit being a idiot. The bad news is he's still being a idiot. I think he will improve, but it is concerning.
  13. I watched almost every Ranger game last season. He was good for the first 2 months. After that he was playing similarly to what he is now. He will still be a good hitter but all I'm saying is get used to him striking out and going 0-4.
  14. Yes it did. Read that article I posted. Just because he had crazy RBI and HR numbers does not mean it didn't. It did, and that is simply a fact. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/percent-380631-hamilton-season.html There's another one for you. All of these were written before he put on an Angels uniform. I could pull these up all day.
  15. It seems like more than a slump at this point. It happened all last season and has continued into this season.
  16. Definitely. Boom found this. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/josh-hamilton-whiffing-an-investigation-of-concerns/
  17. Beltre's numbers are down but he's still making good contact and is a beast on defense.
  18. We'll never know. I have no idea what the new ownership is willing to spend. I just know they didn't want to match the Angels offer for Hamilton and he accepted in LA. I've been happy with Jon Daniels decisions as GM so I trust his plan. It's not like we are winning less.
  19. I'm more happy with the extending of Elvis and purchase of Yu.
  20. I'm pretty sure we offered him 3 years. Not sure of the amount but maybe around $75 mil.
  21. I'd still be happy to have him on our team but It's more of a luxury than necessity.
