I thought the same. Maybe the org wants to get those guys that seem to be really effected by those shitty Double-A balls away from that developmental environment and develop in the majors instead (which also sucks because this team can't afford to have young players going through these growing pains in the majors in a "must-win" type of season). It's such a bummer that they decided to use those balls in the Southern League. Last season Rocket City was such a good stop for our minor leaguers to really develop. Now we have the shitty offensive environment in Tri-City, the shitty balls in Double-A, and the shitty altitude in Salt Lake.
